Pairing: Harry Wells x Reader
Summary: Reader is stressed about her upcoming wedding with Harry and hopes that everything goes on without a hitch.
For the last week, you couldn't shake the feeling that something would go wrong. The hairs on your body stood on end like the impending doom of a lightning strike. Something was wrong, yet you couldn't place it. You sat at the bar in your apartment looking through the binder that sat in front of you. Seating charts, RSVP confirmations, flower arrangements, somehow you'd managed to compile your entire wedding into a two inch binder. Here it was, right before you, yet something felt like it was missing. You startled when you felt two strong hands start to massage your shoulders.
“Stop worrying,” Harry whispered in your ear. He'd watched you flip through that same binder at least a thousand times.
“Harry, that's like asking a bird not to fly,” you huffed as you welcomed the firm pressure beginning to unravel the stress caused knots in your shoulders. The last wedding you went to didn't exactly go as planned, and you didn't have enough food to cover any meta-humans willing to crash the wedding.
“(Y/N), my beautiful bride to be, you have crossed every 'T' and dotted every single 'I' imaginable. This wedding is going to go just as planned.” Harry was certain that he wasn't giving you false hope. To be completely he never thought that he'd never find himself in this position again. When his first wife died, he swore that he'd never love another, let alone marry someone else. Yet here he was, standing behind the woman that unexpectedly stole his heart. Before he'd met you, he never would've cared about anything but his work, but now, he knew that he'd do everything in his power to ensure that you both would have the most wonderful day possible, no matter what. Even if that meant that he'd call in a few favors.
You turned around in your seat to face your bright-blue-eyed fiancee. “Harry, I just'-”
“I know what you're going to say,” Harry stopped you. “That is not going to happen. What happened with Barry and Iris was unfortunate, but now we know how to prepare for such an occasion.” You opened your mouth to speak again but he stopped you. “(Y/N), everything is going to be fine, now, don't you have an errand to run?”You brilliant fiancee was right, today was the day you picked up your dress. It was supposed to be a happy occasion, and it was. You kissed Harry good-bye and thanked him for always knowing how to cheer you up. What would you do without him?
You walked out of the bridal holding the large garment bag that shielded the world from seeing the beautiful white dress you'd be wearing in a few weeks time. You held it up, careful not to let it touch the ground and made your way back towards your apartment. After only a few steps an alarm sounded from your phone. It was the alarm that all of Team Flash had that alerted you when trouble was unfolding. You looked at your dress and back at your phone. 'You've got to be kidding me,' you said to yourself. Without a doubt, the team came first, so made sure you had a good grip on your dress and raced to S.T.A.R. Labs.
You flew through the doors and down the hallway to make your way towards the cortex. You could hear the rest of the team conversing as you got closer. When you made it to the door way, you turned and what you saw legitimately made your jaw drop. The ceiling of the cortex was covered in white lights, there were flowers scattered throughout, but most importantly, you saw Harry dressed in his suit. You looked around wide-eyed and stunned that how he made this all possible.
“Harry, what is this?” You asked as you continued to take in the beautiful transformation of the usually dull cortex.
“This, (Y/N),” he said as he reached for you hand, “is our wedding.” He kissed your hand and looked up at you.
“Our wedding isn't for another 3 weeks, Harry.” You laughed as you looked to see the team dressed up just a beautifully as the decorations that surrounded you.
“I know you've been stressing lately about all the details of the wedding and the safety of everyone, so what better place to have a safe wedding than here?” You looked at Harry with misty eyes knowing in that moment you loved him more than you ever had before.
“Ahem,” Iris interrupted as she walked towards you. “I can't help but notice that you're slightly undressed for your own wedding.” She took the garment bag from you hands and began walking out of the cortex.
“Wait, so there's no meta-human emergency?” You laughed still trying to absorb everything in front of you.
“No, my darling, everything is perfectly fine. Everything except the fact that you aren't my wife yet.” Harry was always impatient and here it was peeking through even on his wedding day.
“Harrison Wells, you sneak.” You lent forward to kiss Harry and Cisco interrupted.
“Uh, girl, NO! That's not until after the 'I Do's', you've already seen each other before the wedding, we don't need to add any more bad juju.”
“He's right, go put that dress on,” Harry said as he nodded his head towards Caitlin and Iris, who were waiting to turn you into the most beautiful bride anyone had seen.
“Harrison Wells, I love you.” You said as you made your way out of the cortex.
“I love you more,” he returned. “Now, go get ready.”
You laughed and skipped towards the girls waiting for you in the doorway. Any worry or stress you had before had melted away. You were about to get married. You were about to become Mrs. Harrison Wells.
