What do you think about Kuroki and Shiroizu's relationship in Sifu as kids and teenage?

I headcanon that Kuroki and Shiroizu were originally part of a yakuza clan in Japan; I imagine they were close as kids, but as they grew older, they were forced to compete against each other in order to determine who'd become the clan's heir, which drove a wedge between them in their teenage years.
