Regardless of how you view winnie and augestines relationship / friendship during the game, it's a clear show of bittersweetness between them, the contrast between the jealousy auggie experiences and the sheer admiration winnie holds for him, either of them were truly in the wrong-

It was simply miscommunication that could end in so many ways but the way two of the possible outcomes that were shown in the game are beautiful, yet there are a thousand more outcomes, if they didn't take the car trip, winnie would have just left and auggie likely would have never hear from him..maybe the monthly letter if he could but auggie would never reply, too buried in his festering jealousy and self loathing that never got a out let if that was the case.

I'm glad they left it on a mostly open end because it's so personal of a game, its a short look into the lives of two best friends on a car trip that'll change them for the better or the worse, who knows, augh cold front is making me emotional again.
