I think it's better and more realistic to use "stupid" and "dumb" in non-ableist ways, i.e. don't insult people's intelligence directly. Cutting out those words entirely is too much to ask at this point, I think

Huh. Thanks for that advice. I had actually completely cut them out of my vocabulary already (except for a few slip-ups), but I was just wondering if it's okay to ever say them, because frankly the words I had used instead were very formal-sounding.
