finished in living memory last year and then some but just thought abt it recently. honestly one of the best stories i’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. there was so so so little of vigo but the biggest impression left on me was vigo and philip especially after reading on deaf ears. i hope to see the prequel someday in the future if you haven’t abandoned the idea yet! whether it be in the next few months or next few years, once i find out about it istg i’ll be there so fast. thank you for writing that story!!

Vigo is interesting, because he really only has what, two scenes in the story? But he's arguably the most, or second-most, central character, because he narrates the entire work, so his is the voice you hear most constantly. I love the way he haunts the narrative. Easily at least one of my two favorite narrators I have ever written.

I do still plan to write Signifying Noting someday, but I can't promise it'll be any time soon. I hope, whenever I do, you see it, and it lives up to what you hope. Thanks for the kind words. : ) And you are very welcome.

i blocked out most of high school but whenever i am Struggling TM part of my mind breaks into the ‘tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow’ piece from MacBeth in the most dramatic, somber fashion and that says a lot both about me and my high school experience tbh

i wonder sometimes whether it’s more or less fun to “be unreasonable” if you’re not aware of it. i, personally, am frequently unreasonable—but im also almost always aware of it in real time, so when people call me on it i won’t generally argue with them on that point (i just might not care). but would it be more exciting to believe i was reasonable and *right* in the heat of any anger or irrational impulse—to have a kind of true departure, with no meta-awareness of my own irrationality—or would it all just be that much more upsetting?
