Nokken/Nixie! Sigyn variant

Drew this on a whim, but I made another variant of my Myth! Sigyn design. Though this time I based this design variant off of a Nokken/Nixie which is a water spirit in Germanic folklore that lures travelers,woman,and children to their death by enchanting them with a fiddle(though they aren’t always hostile spirits in some tellings). Nokken are mainly male, but some sources said they can be female too(they are also shapeshifters and in some versions present themselves as a white horse as well).

I tried not to make her look too much like my main Myth!Sigyn design. Though both are aquatic based. When it comes to Nokken! Sigyn’s personality, however, she more hostile and cunningly manipulative.

When it comes to her relationship with Loki. The two of them met when Loki got lost in Sigyn's territory. Then Sigyn saw them and was like, " Hey, you're really pretty, and I see that you're lost. Do you want to chill in my bog and listen to my fiddle?"

Loki surprisingly agreed, and from there, the two began to frequently meet up falling in love in the process. That being said, Loki is the only one to have ever made it out of Sigyn's territory alive. 😬

New Sigyn (and Logyn) fake funkos :)

Many months ago, I asked the great @pip0h and @orange-arcana-art for commissions of Loki & Sigyn (what a surprise... yeah, I'm shocked too... XD)

Anyway.

To @pip0h, I asked for a scene where Sigyn would be reunited with Loki at the end of Time (instead of, you know, Loki being all alone??? *cries in MCU*)

And to @orange-arcana-art I asked a cute fan art with 1893!Loki meeting 1893!Sigyn.

Both illustrations are pure work of art.

BUT I WAS NOT DONE.

I had already commissioned Fantalvia on Etsy for some Sigyn fake pops last year and they were great. So, since let's face it, we're NEVER gonna get any Sigyn on the MCU or merch, I commissioned that wonderful artist, once again, to turn those lovely Sigyn variants into funkos :3

Since 1893!Loki has already a pop, his wife just joined him. As for GodofTime!Loki, he's got a whole new pop with Sigyn by his side...

Hi! Could you tell me more about your Sigyn, please? What is her personality and origins like? I would love to know what kind of person she is and how she was raised.

Oh, how nice of you to ask, Anon! :D

Well, my Sigyn, or rather the variant I use in my fanfiction and for most of the arts I commission, is the daughter of Queen Freya Njordottir of Vanaheim, and of Iwaldi, a dwarf from Nidavellir and brother to the King of the Dwarves, Eitri (Iwaldi prefers his forge to the politics, much quieter and less worry and less paper work ^^' XD)

As her parents are separated (because Freya is Freya XD), Sigyn spends some part of the year on Vanaheim, and the other part on Nidavellir.

From her father, Sigyn inherited a talent for forging weapons, and her red curls. From her mother, she inherited her blue eyes... and lots of mummy issues? XDXD Her father spoils her every time she goes back to Nidavellir and Dwarves makes delicious pies and pastries and desserts... and let's just say this Sigyn variant, she's a little bit chubby and very cute :)

She's not very tall either, as she's half-dwarf.

She's very kind, sweet and a bit shy. As she was raised by Freya telling her again and again she is not pretty enough (because she's too chubby for her mother's taste), she does not believe herself worthy of Prince Loki and does not dare speaking to him - turning herself into a cat or a fox when he visits Vanaheim with his mother and his brother.

(Though, of course, in Loki's eyes, when they eventually meet, she's the true essence of Beauty <3)

She's seen as prudish, but it's not totally true. She just has one love in her heart, and only belongs to that one person (YOU KNOW WHO XD). She has friends and she loves her family members dearly, however, as far as romance is concerned, she does not see anyone else but that special someone.

She's very good at Seidr and uses it mostly for the weapons she forges with her father and brothers, Daenne and Nabbi.

She gets along very well with her uncle Feyr, who is King of Alfheim and a famed diplomat, God of Peace and Prosperity.

On her Dwarf side, she has three siblings: Idunn (Half-dwarf too; Iwaldi had her with an Asgardian lady), Daenne and Nabbi (Iwaldi had them with a Dwarf lady).

On her Vanir side, she has only sisters: Lofn, Gersemi, Hnossa, Nanna, Snotra and Var - all very beautiful and very much like their mother.

She loves both Vanaheim and Nidavellir fiercely and is proud of her double heritage (not a huge fan of Odin, but she stays polite and courteous, for the sake of the Aesir/Vanir peace. She does like Frigga a lot, though)

Though her mother used to be Captain of the Valkyries, Sigyn prefers forging weapons rather than wielding them. HOWEVER, she will unleash Ragnarok if you say one word against one of her loved ones.

She loves to gossip with Ratatoskr during her free time :)
