This has been long overdue for a very long time. @bubbleteycosplay

I'm not much of an active Marvel fan- heck my only reasons why I watched the movies was because of Loki (I even played Marvel Rivals because of him). Even 11 year old me wanted to watch the Thor movie when it came out (but no one drove me to the cinema, sad).

But since I heard about Loki and his tale in the Norse Mythology I became enamoured with this woman- Sigyn. So much so I took her as my username and even want to add her name to my name... which I hope I can get tbh, would be so freaking cool.

However, I don't really like how she was portrayed in Marvel... well better said the lack of portrayal of her or Angrboda (my gripes with the Loki series runs deep that I refuse to watch the second season). But rant aside, this is the design I imagined for her.

I thought doing something a bit different from how everyone else portrayed her, even though many of her fan designs are straight up gorgeous. Check out @nanigram I could eat their art every day.

However, I kind of imagine her being more of a farm girl than royalty. Mostly because I like the idea of Loki stumbling into her life and they both kinda change eachothers life. I don't know if I develop the idea further but I'm not against making some wholesome art of them because Loki deserves it ngl.

Genually I wish people would stop drawing Sigyn as anything other than just white. I don’t understand why you want to draw a Nordic goddess of all things yet also want to erase our pantheons race and ethnicity. Like what do you get form it??? It is important to who they are. Like I should not have to say please but please stop participating in this erasure of culture or slapping it onto something that’s clearly your personal misrepresentation of our gods.

Wanting diversity is not a crime but your not being non racist, your being insensitive and culturally appropriate.

So uhm this drawing was entirely made on a whim because of the post @jonquilclegane made about an Art Tourney- that I realistically didn't got the time for it but alas I somehow managed to finish it... don't ask me how, I got possessed I assume.

This drawing of Loki and Sigyn was inspired by "The Storm" by Pierre Auguste Cot. It isn't perfect but before I go insane I thought I simplify it a bit.

Regardless I'm proud of it! Also Thor out here being a wingman for his brother I guess.
