Grave robber (CRP OC) art/ref sheet!
CW/TW for abuse, death, and grave robbing (duh)!
From his wiki page (which we need to rework eventually because it was written at like 2 AM): "Grave Robber (Silas Grace) is a 32 year old man who is in love with the concept of death. Around the age of 5, he began to hear voices he would claim belong to the dead, including but not limited to deceased loved ones (His mother, older brother, and two older sisters, all of whom had died at the hands of his father).
This led to severe bullying from peers at school, and was not well-received by his (already neglectful) father who would beat him and then lock him in the basement when/if he were to bring up the aforementioned voices. These punishments, however, only served to excite Silas, as he had quickly found that being in the basement made his mother’s voice much clearer.
Silas would soon seek out his father’s punishments as an excuse to be sent to the basement to better converse with his mother.
One day, when Silas was 16 and his father had been particularly wrathful, he confided in his mother that he had plans to end his life in hopes that she could hold him once again, to which is mother called his plan foolish for the simple reason that he did not need to die to see her, or any of his loved ones, again. Silas was confused, however this confusion was shortly lived as his mother explained that her husband had buried her and his siblings in the back yard, and that all he needed to do to be with his family was dig them up.
Silas stole his father’s shovel, the one he had used to bury his own wife and children, and broke down the door to the basement. He made his way to the back yard and began to dig. His father, who had woken up due to the noise, began to scream at Silas to go back inside and put the shovel down. When Silas’s father grabbed his son’s shoulder to physically remove him from his wife’s burial site, Silas turned around and bashed his father’s head in with his shovel, promptly returning to his digging until he hit something hard, but with give.
It was a carpet. A carpet that was rolled up around his mothers corpse. As he continued to dig with more fervor, he found his siblings as well. He quickly brought every single one of his family members inside, leaving his father’s corpse in the pit he had dug his mother from and covering him up with dirt.
For the next few months, Silas was overjoyed. He spent every day with his mother, sisters, and brother, neglecting his job and the few friends he had. This went on until one of his neighbors called for a wellness check, and the police found him having “dinner with his family”.
He was detained by the police. This was short-lived, however, as his mother instructed him on how to escape. He grabbed a bone from each of his family members (leaving only his father out) and ran.
When Silas was 20-21 years old, his mother told him that she had found him a wife, to which he explained that he is not attracted to women. His mother clarified that his wife would not be a woman, which puzzled Silas, who then asked to meet this mystery person.
Silas’s mother helped him perform a ritual, which led to Silas having an LSD-worthy astral-projection trip where he met his own interpretation of death itself. It was beautiful, yet indescribable. Once the trip was over, Silas immediately began looking for guests to attend his wedding. As many as possible for his beautiful bride. And so, Silas now digs up corpses and invites the spirits attached to said corpses to attend his wedding with death."
