Roaring 20's Phantom of the Opera Silco won!
So, I do have an idea for this already.
Piltover is Victorian aristocratic society while the Underground is art deco Roaring 20's - brothels, speakeasies, blues and jazz band music moving in a modern direction while Topsiders are comfortable with their decadent and cultured lifestyles. They view the Underground scene as gaudy but still many go down, enjoying that so-called vulgar entertainment.
Reader is a blues singer before the Day of Ash. She is injured and then imprisoned with a few others who survived. Silco is horrifically injured and goes into hiding in the mining tunnels after he is almost killed by his friend and rumoured dead.
Tunnels that happen to also go under the Pilt and into Piltover territory, moving up and accidentally tapping into the cellars of the Opera House. It was a part of a failed plot to come up on the other side and attack Piltover until it was flooded.
Silco was a musician and adored Underground music but had an affinity for Piltover's classical operas.
After a few suspicious deaths, The Last Drop has a new mysterious owner, no one has seen and it becomes THE speakeasy club of the Underground with new exciting music that even Topsiders venture down to experience.
Reader, in prison, is given an opportunity to sing for the opera owner, who heard her sing in the Underground and thought she was too lovely and talented to be down there.
Reader is told everyone she cares about is dead, including her friend Silco, who was writing new music just for her - a blend of Underground and opera (rock opera?)
She is only given two options: prison or sing. She decides to sing and becomes the owners new pet, trying to make her a star. Silco hears her from the mines below the opera and becomes a "ghost" to find out where that voice he used to know only to find the girl he adored is now a Pilty diva.
I think I'll use Marcus as "The Persian" , who is trying to figure out the murders, who this mysterious club owner is and who kidnapped the young singer.
I'm thinking of having a "Raoul" type character that falls for her, who is a Topsider and works with Marcus trying to find her.
This could be another super detailed, lengthy story. I don't even want to attempt it until I finish Bend.
What do you guys think? Worth a shot?
