Silecroft Beach
OK, it’s time for me to get snapping again. I didn’t have the Nikon to hand when this moment inspired me to grab an iPhone panoramic. Silecroft beach is at the very south west tip of the Lake District. Very few people go and you can walk for miles - well perhaps 2 miles before the sand turns to pebble. No mountains in this picture - those bumps are shadowy sand dunes - however shrouded by mist is Black Combe, a fairly easy climb but well rewarded with fine views to sea.
