The Silence Screams

I lie awake in bed,

Waiting for dusk to turn to dawn Time slows its pace And it becomes even more methodical.

But as I lay here In the calm and the quiet, I hear something I hear it beckoning me.

And with its dapper siren song, It disillusions me from reality My eyes begin to close And I let it take me.

As I lay here with my eyes closed I see what was calling me, I hear it It was the silence.

The silence was begging me to come to its realm So I gave it what it desired And from then on, I surrendered to it every night.

For the thousandth time, It showed me the light. I never thought I would grow to love it I never thought I would want it,

I  had found peace in the screaming I found peace in the cries
