Summer had brought with it Willow’s seasonal boost. A lava pool had been dug for her not far from camp so she could roost. Wilson meanwhile was working to maintain a large glacier in the centre of camp for the sake of Abigail, the pets and their structures.
Winter was spending most of his time in the cave. It seemed giving the power of the ice crown to Wilson had removed his immunity to summer heat. Abigail was playing with Monty the grass geko and a bunch of petals. She seemed to have taught him how to play dead.
The other two seasons had migrated elsewhere for the summer.
In quiet corners of my heart, a moment of stillness lingers. warmth radiates in the hushed embrace of hope, fragile as the dawn mist. two faces, skin aglow, cast a gentle light that comforts and yet trembles with the weight of dreams whispered into the night.
sometimes, i wonder if they too felt the soft ache of uncertainty wrapped around their precious gift, cradled in love’s tender hands. it’s the uncharted paths we tread that shimmer with possibility, even as shadows dance just out of sight. serenity and contemplation weave together, leaving a trail of unspoken promises and unfulfilled longings.
