Growing a spine in Silent Forest

I've been getting lowkey so cocky in silent forest , like i actually have a hint of a spine now (should be making headlines, really.)

My way to survive the nights so far is legit to barricade and block entrances and then funnel any open entrances directly to bear traps that lead to me so i can then pew pew intruders. Has worked like a charm. (its my first game ever and i suck so i am extremely over-prepared and careful)

but i've been getting increasingly stingy with my supplies, and yesterday i had one window un-barricaded in the room i confine myself in and said u know what,

fuck it im keeping my wood (uh)

Then i did myself one better and started jumping out the window during the night

and its fun???? has done wonders for my confidence cause now it feels like im actually running the place

i hear someone trying to break through a window or door ? i kill them before they finish doing to (->+++ i save so much on supplies since they dont actually break my shit)

whole ass human sacrifice the other night in my front yard - Cannibalised the victim so yay, meat (-1 points for catching on fire)

sip sip in the well to repair damage

Flash of light led me to a shiny stone ey

Devil incarnate Banshee bitch spawned in my room - jumped out the window and then just chilled in my yard for the rest of the night (imagine if i could do this in real life with unwanted house guests)

dont get me wrong im still terrified but at least now i do it with confidence (well..)

im proud of myself though - ive struggled so much with this game but i feel like im getting the hang of it kinda finally. Looking back at my time in the dry meadow i used to corner myself and freak over a dog barging in. Kinda makes me want to go back just so i can beat any intruders to death (might be happening actually given my disastrous first night in old woods..)

Who would’ve figured that Zor would cross paths with a young wolverine zeti girl? Guess he wasn’t expecting to be alone while on the lookout again. Lmaooo

I’ve followed Bob Ross Silent Forest episode to make this landscape.

I had in mind the nosleep stories about staircases so I wanted to add one. However, I don’t want people to think I ruined a Bob Ross piece and it looks great as this, so I’m posting both versions separately.

SILENT FOREST:  Documenting Amazon forest degradation

A "disturbance map" from the recently launched Silent Forest (Floresta Silenciosa) project -- a collaboration of several Brazilian and British organizations -- highlights degraded areas of the Amazon where tree density has thinned and biodiversity is at risk. "The data visualization from scientific studies is an important step in the struggle for forest conservation," said Thiago Medaglia, coordinator of the Silent Forest platform.
