Since I have this place to braindump now... Silent Underflow still has me fucked all the way up with this line in particular.

Do you think during his time in the Fractal Library since leaving MC, he has read through a number of their past stories? I saw someone mention the "I already gave my heart to you a long time ago" as potentially him acknowledging Sacred Chapter (where Zayne literally gives his divine heart for the Creatio stone to create a world where MC can live in safety and peace... without him). I just imagine him becoming more and more desperate as he sees his past sacrifices all leading to an ending where they can't be together.

Is that why he's such a staunch atheist in the current timeline? In his past iterations, he's either been adjacent to divinity or a divine being himself. He's tried using his divine powers in the past, and it's always failed. Attempting to change their fate through sheer force of will is something he'd do lol. It plays into his fear of losing control nicely.

At some point, I need to do another read through of the main story and all of his myths, since now I'd be able to pick up references and lore bits I missed. But I still have so much to catch up on... it feels insurmountable lol 😭

I really REALLY liked Silent Underflow; the references to his myth, visiting the village, the longing which developed between them.

And there was a whole lot going on in that kindled, many slapping sounds which was NOT the water. 😳 What an incredibly intimate scene filled with so much devotion. How far their relationship has come is a thing of beauty.
