Erik seldom got the chance to take a solitary walk to clear his mind -- something always managed to get in the way. He favoured the evening, feeling at home in the darkness. Noises and rustles did not alarm him, nor did any other threat of the night.

As he placed another step onto the dark grey tarmac, he found himself in the direct path of a shadow. Erik peered curiously in the direction, but his eyes brought back nothing. "Can I help you?" he enquired casually, but with his signature tone of hostility, throwing his voice to where the shadow lingered.
