Bernie was far more then the sidekick blackgirl best friend, she was so much more to me. Her charchter was a college student, something you rarely saw being cast in the 90's. That iconic scence in the bathroom mirror with #virginiamason my girl Bernie knew better to toy with fate. This you hope would of kept her alive, but it ain't that kind of movie peeps, she falls victim to #TonyTodd being the ever loyal friend to the end. Before Candyman she played another standout friend in Silience of the Lambs as Arcella a F.B.I. cadet. --------- ----------- ------- ---------- Becoming frustrated with limited oppurntities Kassi began writing, which led her to write and direct the contemporary haunting Eve's Bayou. Winning her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature film (1998) I applaud Kassi for establishing her own path in Hollywood.
