Got a nice pile of beautiful silk scraps at work I sneakily took home (with permission). I’ve interfaced the back (and I regretted it immediately, fuckin hate iron on interfacing) and cut into quilting squares. I’ll be turning it into a varsity style jacket.

“I’m wearing all vintage and thrifted clothing: 60s pants from David Owens Vintage, my favorite silk quilted jacket that looks like some of the sculptures I make, some knits underneath, a belt from the 90s, and cowboy boots from eBay. My style is inspired by other queer people on Instagram, quilting and fiber/textile artists, and K8 Hardy. I feel best when I’m in a ton of patterns and when I’m wearing recycled clothing. Right now I’m really into the concept of small bags: I love that they’ve been back in style and I’m interested in their non-functional size, it’s like you’re carrying around a tiny status sculpture.”
