It had been awhile since Nilos had been to this shop. He had bought some trinkets here awhile ago, but maybe the shop had something that could help him?
Of course, they might not be too happy to see a Jirachi fly in... but maybe he could talk to that nice shop keeper again? What was her name? He forgot... but either way! He was hoping to find her, and tell her who he was, so maybe she could help him?
If not... he could always sneak in the back and mess with things. No one would see him doing so in such a small state!
Nobodyever said that Rosario's parents were the most observant folks in theworld, but it was still a shock to the young boy's system when heturned back from the desert plants he had been admiring and saw nosign of them anywhere. Within seconds panic set in, he tried to yellfor them, but received no answer. He ran in one direction for a shorttime, tripping and tumbling in the sands before realizing they couldbe in another direction entirely and running back the other way. Butwhat if he was wrong about that too? Didn't they tell him in schoolthat if you were ever lost to just stay put? He hurried back to thelarge cactus that served as a landmark for where they were separatedand plopped down in it's shade for a bit of relief from theblistering heat.
Ever the dramatic child, Rosario couldn't help butfidget, mind racing with the possibility of never being found, ofdying from thirst or the heat. He cursed his parents as tears spilleddown his cheeks. How could they forget about him? Out here of allplaces. Even if he escaped the desert somehow, he was still in acountry he knew next to nothing about, save for the fact that it washis parents' homeland, and barely spoke the language of. This wasdefinitely more of a nightmare than a vacation.
Unbeknownst to Rosario, therewas a small bird that had been watching him skitter across the sandsand finally fall defeated beneath its favorite food source. Ithopped cautiously from where it had been tucked away between somerocks, inching closer to the child, since he didn't seem to mean anyharm and it was much overdue for lunchtime. It was only when thelittle green pea of a bird was but a few feet away that Rosariolifted his tear stained face from his hands and noticed it, and itfroze. The two were engaged in an intense staring contest for whatfelt like an eternity. He remembered his father telling him aboutthese Pokemon that were common in the area, what did he call them?Nachos? It was probably nachos. But if you moved even an inch whilethey stared at you they would scurry away. He wondered if, instead ofscaring it by speaking out loud, he might be able to just thinksomething to it. The bird certainly had a piercing enough gaze thatit felt like it could read his every thought, so he might as well tryit.
“Hello little nacho, Ipromise I won't hurt you...” He focused hard on those words andstared back intently, trying to push the thought out of his head andinto the bird's. After a long moment, the bird gave a few small peepsand began hopping towards him, and he felt his heart leap. Had itreally worked? It hopped right up to where he sat, and he slowly puta hand out to it that it laid its head... and/or body into. CarefullyRosario stroked the soft feathers on its head with his thumb andlistened to the tiny peeps that it earned him. It brought a smile tohis face and chased away some of his fears, though they stilllingered.
“Little nacho, have you seen my parents? I lost them...” His head sunk low againas he spoke to the Pokemon. To his shock, its eyes closed, only toopen again with a glow of faint lavender that he couldn't break hisgaze from as it penetrated his mind with a fuzzy image of a man andwoman walking east from the landmark cactus, the only crystal clearthing in the vision. When it broke, and the bird's eyes went back tonormal-- if it could be called that in the first place-- Rosario gaspedand shot back up to his feet. “Thank you little nacho! You're thebest!” He cheered before starting off in the direction he now knewhis parents to be, only to have his attention caught by anotherseries of peeps. He turned and stared down at the bird, who hadfollowed him a few steps and sat at his feet, gazing up expectantly.“Do you... want to come with me?” He asked, and it nodded as muchas it could. The boy couldn't stop the beaming smile that crept ontohis face as he scooped his new friend up in his hands. “Mom and dadowe me this much for leaving me behind, you're coming home with us.”
The 16 year old called out his friend’s name again, panic in his voice. Where was she?!
Clicking all six of his Pokéballs, he tossed out every single member of his team, getting them to spread out and search the entire beach.
She had to be okay, she had to... When they got separated by that wave, he saw Amber caling out her Floatzel... She totally made it to land, right?
It had only been an hour, she would be fine, nothing could have ha-
“AMBER!” Robin called as he sprinted towards where he saw her, lying on the beach completely soaking wet with her Floatzel standing over her, looking terrified. Panic set into Robin’s heart at how not-okay she looked. He skidded along the sane, next to Amber, trying desperately to wake her up.
“Come on Am, w-wake up. P-P-Please wa-”
The older girl suddenly shot up, eyes wide open as she coughed up a lot of seawater. Both Robin and the water type looked at each other, chuckling a little before laughing and hugging in sheer relief, she was okay!
“Oh Arceus...” Zefri sighed as he looked at the confused girl, “Please, don’t ever scare us like that again...
It was still a bit of a hike from the train station to Fortree, which was to be expected in such a far out place, but still Rosario found themself exhausted and frazzled by the humidity and uneven terrain by the time they could even see the apothecary that had been described to them in the past. Even Zion didn't look like his usual composed self at the moment, with random feathers poking out every which way and about as much of a grimace as a bird could emote on his face.
“Never again.”
“It could have been worse, we could have had to do this the entire way.” Rosario shrugged as they stashed their belongings behind a large tree that they deemed safe enough, not wanting to appear to Silk or her other guests quite as homeless as they actually were at the moment. “Quite the first impression I'll make.” They laughed with a slight bitterness as they raked fingers through black and lavender hair in hopes of straightening it out at least enough to be presentable, then did the same to Zion’s feathers.
“Excuse you.” He scoffed, ruffling himself back out in a more orderly fashion.
“Just trying to get you nice and dapper, you need to make a good impression too, you know.” They teased as the pair made their way up to the door and Rosario gave a light knock, stood back, and couldn't help but fidget as they waited to see their fiend in person for the first time.
The last time Mimi travelled through Hoenn was last year. It felt odd coming back and this time it was just to relax and see the sights, maybe do some fun things.
One thing she was hoping wouldn’t happen, was getting lost. Yet here she was, lost as hell. The brunette sighed and looked down at her Dewott with a slight pout.
“I think we’re lost, Star.” she said and sat down on a tree stump. They were in a forest and she didn’t recognize the area.
“I don’t have a flying Pokemong with me either that can help. Let’s get something to eat before we continue, okay?”
Star climbed up in her lap while Mimi looked through her backpack and picked up a plastic box of lasagna and a bottle of water.
“It’ll be okay.” she said and wrapped her arms around Star while eating.
At least she hoped it would be okay. She couldn’t see any towns nearby or houses at all. Had they really gotten that off track?
[[ they probably felt most relaxed in the library they worked at since it was usually nice and quiet and had a great view of the ocean from the upper floor and was good for lowkey meditation, not to mention the smell of old books. ]]

[[ they like using telepathy the best usually, since for them it takes less effort than actually speaking and they usually have their thoughts collected and don’t have to worry about stumbling over words. the only problem is most people can’t respond back the same way. ]]
