Hello! 9 and 11 for the blogger ask game, please?
9. What do you like that's pretty standard?
I mean it's no secret that stuck in the rain is my fave trope. It's probably the most vanilla of the stuff in our corner since it happens in anime, tv series, movies, etc. It's probably the thing I remember most before I knew what the fetish was, I always liked that someone would get sick after getting wet/rained on. I mean it's so vanilla it's one of the only things I'm comfortable talking about with people not part of snzblr.
11. Describe your favorite symptom(s). BONUS: explain why you enjoy your favorite symptom(s).
I am a basic bitch but give me a well put together man with a horrible cold who just cannot find any relief and he's sneezing his head off into a pristine handkerchief. I want wet congested sneezing where it sounds like it's taking everything out of him, you can hear it scrap the back of his throat. His nose is bright fucking red and raw from the constant attention he has to give itm I want him miserable.
Red noses are just...so fucking sexy to me. Like even if it's just from the weather, I see a red nose and I loose my composure a bit. But when it's due to a cold??? Jackpot. I rarely see a good cold nose in real life though sadly. Congested sneezing/stifles where you can hear it in their voice, god yes. Music to my damn ears.
Thanks silk!!
1 and 11 for the writing ask game?
1. what makes you keep writing, and what, at times, has made you stop?
I love my OCs, that's why I write mostly. I love exploring their stories and personalities. I love that other people like them enough to request scenarios! What's made me stop is usually lack of ideas or just not conveying what I want in a story. Or I have that really bad habit of starting something and then loosing interest or getting a new idea and it gets shelved.
11. what elements are you looking for when you choose what to read in this genre? what leads you to read something more than once?
You will always get me with the classic getting sick from being caught in the rain scenario, no matter what. Give me a good cold and I'm there with popcorn. Lately anything historical I will definitely read because I just like that genre and it mixes so well with sick fic/whump. *cough* archeological boyfriends *cough*
I have a few things I've read more than once but I don't do it often, but I save a lot stories just to have so if people want recs I can easily pull up the name of the fic.
Thanks Silk!
For the writing asks 💞 and 💖, please?
💞 Who's your comfort character?
His name is Gabriel Lane Herondale perhaps you've heard of him???? XD I love him so much, my poor fessor. For actual fanfiction it's Wilde from R/Q/G, I love to hurt that poor Bard.
💖 What made you start writing?
Hmmm, well I've always wrote fantasy stuff dating back to when I was younger. I never ever thought I'd actually write snz fic stuff but I had characters, Kyoichi and Yuki from something else that fit (I was once a vanilla who wrote sick fics and didn't understand why I liked it XD) so back when I first joined the forum I decided to try it. People seemed to like my first story and then I got thumped with the idea for Morning Coffee and the rest is history. I still don't write a lot of fanfic, I have to be really into the characters to do that.
thanks Silk!!
3️⃣ and 🌡️for Ambrose and/or Cecil?
3️⃣ Describe their sneeze in 3 words.
Ambrose's are usually wet, congested and exhausted. His colds are usually start in his head and form very quickly so it's very easy to tell when he has cold.
Cecil I do not know at this time, sorry!
🌡What symptom(s) most severely plague them when they have a cold?
I did this for Cecil
Ambrose's main symptoms are sneezing and coughing especially once it moves to his lungs as it normally does. If the cold stays in his head sneezing, headaches and general exhaustion are his main symptoms. I just like piling everything on Ambrose since he's basically a Victorian version of Gabriel. XD
Thanks for asking about Ambrose and Cecil!!
17 and 21 for the writing asks?
17 how do you determine what mood each project has?
Ooooo I like this one. A lot of it is determined by what mood I happen to be in. If I feel like angsty I'll do that, same with fluff. Or a mix of both. Sometimes I'll think of which character I want to torture first and then decide the mood. With Ambrose and Cecil lately I've wanted to explore their relationship a bit more so it'll have a more somber/angsty tone to it. I'm not sure if I gave a good answer or not XD
Tl;dr it depends on my mood
21 what are the most important facets of creating a character, to you?
They have to resonate with me. Even if I have nothing in common with them (which doesn't happen often as theres a bit of me in every character I write) but if I don't like writing them I won't (unless I have too, see Bryce in MC). Most of the time my initial concept doesn't change too much. For sick fics in general it's what the characters weaknesses are, what makes them sick or allergies. I try to mix it up so all my OCs are different in certain ways. And even though I truly make all my characters for me, I want them to be retable. This wasn't something I even considered until Morning Coffee and people started saying how much they related to Liam because of his anxiety, which I wrote to channel my own. So if people find some aspects of my OCs retable that's nice.
Thanks Silk!
Hi! For the ask meme, could you do 🔥 and 📆 for Gabriel? Thanks!
Yay more stuff for Fessor!
🔥: How high do their fevers get? Do they break easily, or do they last a long time? Do they become delirious, or just tired?
Gabriel doesn't get many fevers as I wanted balance btwn him and Liam, so Liam gets the high fevers. The ones he does get normally just make him tired. If he does get a high one it usually breaks after a day or two.
📆: How prolonged are their sneezes? Do they hitch for a while before finally sneezing, or do they sneeze almost right away? How likely is it that their sneeze will “ghost” them?
I love hitching so Gabriel’s normally hitch a bit before he actually sneezes but they usually come easily even with the hitching. Very rarely does Gabriel loose one unless he tries to stop them.
Thank you for asking about my G 💗
