It had been a long night; Cindy had been at the Bugle with Jonah, so he had gone on patrol without her. That was probably one factor that had made the night particularly tiring because he had grown so used to having her by his side as Spider-man lately. On top of the emotional exhaustion brought on by her absence, he had foiled three bank robberies, a heist at the dock, four muggings, and got a cat out of a tree.

Peter had got home around three, stripping off his suit and climbing into a cold bed. Then, after a quick text to make sure his girl was okay and just stuck at work, he passed out. He wasn't sure how much later it was, though he noted it was still dark, that he felt a soft peppering of kisses over his face.
Smiling sleepily, but still not moving much, he waited until she reached his lips that he gently kissed her back." Mmmm, baby, come to bed. I missed you." He managed a slight pout as he finally opened his eyes to look up at her.
