#silky stuff

There are still a few plants with lovely silky seeds out in the yard, despite the frigid cold lately. Silky dan donned his warm sweater to brave the cold in order to make sure these plants felt appreciated. He even shook some of the seeds off the stems so that they could get dispersed by the wind. Although, he ended up accidentally wearing a good number of them too. XD

The cute little white daises in the yard have exploded into soft, poofy, silky stuff, and Silky Dan couldn't be happier. This is his favorite time of year, his time to shine, and he's on a mission to appreciate all the silky wonders that plants display during the Fall season. Everyone deserves a little appreciation now and then, right? =)

Now is the perfect time of year to find silky stuff on many plants as they spread their seeds before winter. At the Greenway today, Silky Dan found these poofy little plants along the side of the pathway. They're everywhere! Humans may consider them weeds, but to Silky Dan, they're fluffy friends. =)

While wandering out on the Greenway today, Silky Dan came across this lone plant that had grown up out of stone. The plant is already dying off with winter approaching, but it's silky little seeds are slowly dispersing on the wind. Silky Dan promised to take some of the seeds with him to help spread the plant's legacy even farther. He wants everyone to know that, sometimes when you're feeling fragile, just remember... even delicate silky things can grow from stone. =)

Silky Dan is always on the lookout for silky stuff, and today he found some! Extra fluffy and so soft, he was delighted to find these handsome poofs of silkiness in the backyard. Happiness looks different for everyone, but for Silky Dan, it's appreciating the silky things in life. =)

Once again, Silky Dan took to the Greenway today, not only to get some much needed exercise, but also to search for silky things. His determination has finally paid off! These dandelion seeds definitely count as silky stuff. Silky Dan was absolutely delighted, and a good time was had by all. =)

It’s the end of the Silky Season, and Silky Dan was blessed to get one last sight of what he loves best. These grasses went to seed, and in the light of the setting sun, he thought they were the most gorgeous things he’d seen in a very long time. I snapped some shots of him as he spent a peaceful moment of admiration with the fluffy seeds. When he was finished, he helped blow some up into the wind, hoping to see them growing in the area next spring. ❤

This mini-daisy plant went to seed, and Silky Dan couldn’t be happier about it. He was in his element today as he frolicked among the poofy, silky seeds. This is what he lives for, folks. Fall is the season of silky stuff, and Silky Dan is living the dream. =)
