Day 5- August 2018 Gradblr challenge
Yesterday was long and I ended up having a mild temper tantrum over dinner like a toddler. Work was busy but I did not one damn thing to be productive for school.
Today we were stuck in traffic for almost 2 hours (1 hour 58 minutes) to get to work. So it took us 2 hours and 45 minutes to drive 30 miles (mostly interstate). But I got a ton of stuff wrapped up and organized today. With pizza, an adult beverage, and a book from the library on Typhoid Mary, how can my evening go wrong?
Etta says “Boop”
Gradblr challenge fun Friday 🤬
Tumbler ate a lovely post I made about our morning with the bees... I am so frustrated I no longer have the impetus to post tonight. Will do tomorrow.
Mea culpa. Have an Etta picture. She wants me to go pile up in bed instead of reading articles. And yes, that is a little nap mat I made for the corgis.
Day 17 - August 2018 Gradblr challenge
Pretty productive day today.
We got thumb drives with the dataset, articles to review, and instructions for the comp yesterday. The SAS dataset was formatted but they didn’t give us the proc format code to open the flippin’ thing. So after I sent emails notifying the admin (bless her soul) and deeply regretted the fact that I don’t keep paper bags on my person for panic attacks, they sent us an unformatted file we can use. 🙄
Today I managed to complete the first and second parts to the exam. All that is left is the manuscript. I’ve done a quick literature search on the topic and now I need to read through what I have and draft an intro (not tonight). Articles are also downloaded to my tablet so I can review as allowed tomorrow.
I’m pretty comfortable with my progress so far and if I block off two days each for an intro, methods, results, and discussion, I will still have a day left to proof everything before turning it in on August 24th by 5 PM. Got a long day at work tomorrow, but I’ll be off Friday. Hopefully the momentum can keep going.
When I started early this morning, Etta kept me company and brought a toy to play with.
Me watching the status of the polls getting really excited ⬇️
Me excited that I have the next THREE polls planned out!! ⬇️
Me realizing that I actually will have to write and *post* the next polls for them to happen ⬇️
Why does my brain have to break? Can someone please erase this error code in my synapses for the joy of all mankind?
Or at least the joy of at least a couple people?
...
Dammit.

What is it about dogs and yoga mats? And this guy likes to wait until I’m in a pose and then he sticks his cold nose on whatever skin might be exposed. Savasana is his favorite because just when I am all relaxed he can plop across my stomach.
