It's so funny to me how some Lawlight haters genuinely think "they hate eachother! they tried to murder eachother and they want eachother dead!" is a valid reason why it shouldn't be a ship, like...yeah no shit Sherlock WHY DO YOU THINK I SHIP LAWLIGHT
Lawlight is not Lawlight if they aren't obsessively fantasizing about eachothers corpses and tearing the other apart
I find it so funny how mikami is the only character ohba feels the need to give a whole specific chapter to explain his tragic childhood backstory. Who cares why everyone else is like that, teru mikami is where we draw the line
My personal theory is that if Media is REALLY good, there isn't really... space, if you will for fans to add or change perspectives on it. Too dense, too complete. Like how coral won't grow on plastic because it's too smooth
Whereas some half-baked hot garbage has got ALL KINDS of plot holes, incomplete characterization, warped timelines, missing worldbuilding and other Spaces for fans to colonize, like coral growing on a sunken battleship.
And then if a series just sucks too much, it's not fun to interact with at all, and people won't fandomize it because it's toxic. Like how coral won't grow on sunken piles of burnt-out tires.
Thought it would be fun to share some of the ideas that have been popping in my head for bonus scenes to Popsicles, Condoms, and Rose Petals. I think sharing behind the scenes is so fun😁
I feel like this is rapidly becoming one of my favourite crack fics.
hIii! Very predictable of me lolol Heres Kei eating ice hehe
I wanted to make something a lil more loose/sketchy! I hope it looks ok ㅠㅠ🙏
ramble/thoughts belowwww ⬇️
Though i like drawing them cutesy/lovey dovey , i really really love the ambiguity of their relationship in the actual material. The way they interact fascinates me. Their personalities, looks and worldviews are so vastly different and yet the way someone as harsh as Kei has a soft spot for him really surprised me when i reread/watched the series. Also the way i cant tell what kai is thinking at any given time make it’s really fun to think about what if situations with them. Also i find the reading of kai just being really nice and Kei completely overthinking his motives to be pretty funny lol uhhh ill probably type more/make the grammar readable later cause i am very very sleepy at this very moment lololol so uhhh sorry for any art/grammar mistakes (as usual lol)!
Lawlight week and Ajin week have definitely taken me out! But, fear not, I have not stopped working on my Re-Write. Here's a Sneak Peak of what I've been working on for the next chapter, it will be posted once Ajin week has come to a close!
Too many questions. Questions that Luka desperately wanted to answer. It shouldn't have been up to him to decide ‘what Adrien can handle' but as Luka traced Adrien’s lithe body, he was forced to be aware of the man that all but drowned in his hospital gown. Wires were still taped to him. A thick purple scar ran from his forehead all the way to the crown of his skull. It was horrific how, even after all this time, he still looked as if he was battling the grim reaper.
Huffing, Adrien turned away, grabbing his Chat Noir toque. Averting his eyes, Adrien tugged the toque over his half head of hair, covering the majority of his scar.
“I'm not broken.” Adrien tapped the roll of his toque.
Luka bit his lip. Adrien was strong. Was one of the strongest people he knew. But that didn't mean that he was all together. Unable to formulate a proper response, Luka rolled up the bottom edge of Adrien’s toque.
“It's nice to see they put you back together.” Letting the fabric unfurl, Luka traced his thumb just under the lowest part of the scar. “I was so afraid they wouldn't be able to.”
Where L pretends to be a virgin to trick Light into thinking he's inexperienced and then when they get into bed L flips the tables and Light does not last five minutes
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
“Stop staring at me.” Light hissed, trying to focus on the data he was running regression tests on. They’d been searching for days to find relationships between day to day activities, personal attributes, and/or physical attributes for the past two weeks. If it wasn’t all accurately documented they might have to start the day all over again.
L was completely ignoring the task he’d set out for the two of them today, instead staring at Light intently, his toes gripping at the edge of his seat.
“L. Work.” Light growled, wanting those beady eyes off of him.
“You look… particularly flushed, Light-kun.”
Letting out a loud exhale, Light grit his teeth. “Yes, L. That would be the broken air conditioner in a heat wave.”
“Hmm… Watari-san said that someone should be here by tonight.” He thumbed his bottom lip.
Light wasn’t positive this man even blinked.
“You may send Watari-san my thanks.” Light bluntly shot back, regretting starting a conversation.
The chair creaked as L inched closer.
“L.”
Creak. Shuffle.
“L.”
Creak creak creak.
“L!”
“You don’t have to yell, Light-kun.” L’s breath burned at Light’s ear.
“Fuck!” Light stiffened, jumping out of the chair. The chair audibly rolled away as he sprawled on the floor. The unforgiving concrete jabbed his behind and back.
But, at least the concrete was cool. Straightening his back, Light relaxed on the cement floor, the dull blue of the screens illuminating the windowless room.
L stepped off his chair, hands in his pocket, and hovered over Light.
“Are you okay, Light-kun?”
How long had it been since their last fight? Were they due for a new one? It felt like they were due for a new one.
“I’m fine, L.”
“Let’s take today off.” L disappeared from Light’s vision, simply walking off.
“What?” Light’s elbows fought the concrete as he pushed himself up to watch L’s disappearing form. “But we’re in the middle of a -”
“It’s simply too hot, Light-kun.” L clicked the elevator button, his back to Light. “Are you coming?”
Uncertain of what lay beyond the elevator, Light was sure it was going to be better than laying on the floor. Plus, when your millionaire boss offers to take you out for the day, it’s hard to say no.
“If Light-kun doesn’t hurry the elevator will leave without him.”
Grunting, Light waged war with the floor, wincing at the bruises it had left. The elevator dinged, forcing Light to waddle across the room as quickly as possible.
“Oh good, you made it.” L commented, pressing the button for the ground floor.
“You know there’s no one else here, right? That you could have just waited until I got up before calling the elevator?” Light rubbed at a particular sore spot on his lower back.
L’s eyes followed his hand with interest. His thumb on his lip, he mumbled back a response. “Mmn, but I am quite excited for our adventure.”
Shaking his head, Light focused on the lights illuminating as they went down. There was a time where this building had left him with a plethora of mixed emotions of terror and excitement. He’d been a primary suspect in the Kira case, resulting in getting chained to L, then referred to as Ryuzaki. After the initial concern had worn off, exhilaration had room to grow, a place with the best resources the world had to offer. Now, it was mundane.
He’d travelled internationally with L several times since catching Kira. L stated it was because he still believed Light could be Kira, but when he’s drunk he’ll admit that Light was the only person he ever truly admired. At 18, Light dropped out of To-Oh to become the only person (excluding Watari) to work beside L.
When they didn’t need to be local, they stayed in Japan - it was Light’s stipulation to be close to his family. Sometimes the original task force would join in on cases as an outside perspective, or come to ask questions of their own. Cases that stumped the department for months were often solved within a few hours at L’s headquarters.
The elevator doors swung open, a butler already standing by to offer L a pair of shoes.
“Thank you, Botan-san.” L gave a slight nod as he received the shoes.
“So where are we going?” Light stood back, getting a modicum of entertainment watching L struggle into human shoes.
“It’s a surprise!” L raised his eyebrows, elated at the idea.
Surprises always concerned Light. They were usually messy, full of sugar, and absolutely something Light would disapprove of. In other words, surprise was a word more alternatively used for ‘I want to do something and I know you’ll say no, so I’m not telling you’.
Not working to hide his disdain within his tone, Light asked the routine question. “What shall I refer to you as today?”
L nodded at the staff as they approached the main doors. “I think I would like to go back to Hideki Ryuga.” He pushed the door before Light had a chance to belittle him for choosing that name again. Once the door was open, he’d have to switch to more coded speak.
“Feeling sentimental, are you Ryuga?” Light paused at the door, assuming they were taking a car, but L bolted down the street.
For someone that walked with a curve in their back and hands in their pockets, when L was on a mission, he moved at the speed of light.
“You could say that.” L agreed once Light was close enough to hear.
The heat was unbearable, the air so hot it distorted the people and objects around them. Light pinched his shirt, fanning himself. If he’d had more time, he would have changed into something better.
“How far are we going, Ryuga?”
“Why do you never use proper honorifics for me, Light-kun?” L ignored his question, whether intentional or not was often unclear.
“One, because you’re not Japanese. Two, because you don’t really care. Three, because you carry yourself like a petulant child.”
“Fascinating.”
Abruptly, L came to a stop, Light slamming into him.
“Careful Light-kun. You may hurt yourself again.”
L had stopped them in front of a convenience store. He stared at the sign, as if he needed to truly understand the depth and wear of the general stores sign. “Do you remember this place, Light-kun?”
Instead of waiting for Light to answer, L stepped forward into the shop. As soon as he entered the threshold, Light’s face burned from embarrassment.
Light had been a paranoid child. When he found cameras in his room, he assumed that he’d been caught with his boyfriend and went mildly overboard in trying to pretend that he was a fine upstanding heteronormative teen. Instead, he got flagged by L as having suspicious behaviour. This was the convenience store he’d gone to to buy a magazine to ‘throw off’ whomever suspected him; he was a regular there, often buying magazines of a different variety.
Redder than a tomato, Light gave a small nod to the cashier. Though years had passed, the cashier gave him a knowing smile with a generous wave.
“Oh, he seems to remember you, Light-kun. But who could forget such a pretty face?” L had one foot in the air as he plunged into the depths of the popsicle cooler. How he’d managed to see the clerk’s greeting was a feat in and of itself.
“Did we seriously take a day off for popsicles?” Light hid his face in his hand, a meek form of protection.
“Light-kun was complaining about the heat.” L came out of the cooler, his arms filled with a variety of iced treats. “I thought I could rectify that for him.”
L offered Light a soda popsicle. After a certain amount of time, Light became accustomed to the fact that L seemed to know every single thing about him.
“We passed four different stores on the way here, Ryuga-san.” Light added the honourifics as they walked closer to the clerk, who was not trying to mask his intrigue at all.
Unceremoniously, L dumped his load of popsicles on the counter. Light placed his beside the pile.
“Is that… Everything?” The clerk tilted his head, eyeing between them.
“Yes just -”
“No, actually.” L interrupted as if Light had never opened his mouth. “Could you please provide us with what he used to regularly purchase?”
“No.” Was his face on fire? Had he combusted into flames? If not, could he?
“Yes, please sir.” L nodded towards him. Shifting his head towards Light, he whispered, “You see, this was always a piece of the investigation that bothered me. There was something that didn’t add up here and I never got to solve it.”
“You already know I’m not Kira!” Light whisper yelled back, the mention of ‘Kira’ inciting a gasp from another shopper.
“Hmm… Or so you want me to believe.”
Light was 18 again; he needed to remember how to control the unyielding urge to punch L in the face. The amount of times he’d yelled ‘I’m not Kira’, at one point it sounded like background noise.
“Can you just trust me for once?”
The clerk returned with a paper bag, scanning the continents without removing them.
“Fascinating.” L’s eyes grew, his nonexistent tail wagging.
“I hate you.”
“That sounds like something Kira would say.” L spoke soft enough to not alert the sour faced lady whose eyes were burning into them.
“Pay. Now.” Light shoved him away so he couldn’t keep whispering into his ear.
As L was paying, Light shoved the popsicles into the bag, hoping that they would melt enough to kill what was inside. They’d really never had conversations about sex. When they were chained together they’d occasionally dealt with their needs, but they’d never touched one another while it was happening. They never spoke about fantasies.
Honestly, the most they spoke about sex was discussing how suspicious it was that Light refused to have sex with Misa.
Unfortunately for Light, Misa was the Second Kira who couldn’t remember that she’d been his beard. Instead, she’d convinced herself that she loved him. She really fell into her role.
Light stomped back to the taskforce, not wanting to risk L opening everything up in public. The closer L got, the quicker Light went - until they were running down the street, L resembling a mugger.
Ripping through the doors, they beelined it towards the elevator, which already sat open for them.
“Why - are - you - running - Light - Kun?” The doors shut behind L, who was bent over panting, sweat dripping from his face. His entire white long-sleeved shirt stuck to his skin, his nipples poking through. Averting his eyes, Light rested against the railing.
“Because I knew you’d want to open it up right away.”
“Of - course - so that - Kira - doesn’t - have - the - chance to -hide - anything.”
“L, you need to exercise more. What is the point of the gym if you don’t even use it?”
“That - ‘s some- thing - Kira -”
“Seriously, L. Fuck off.” The floors were moving too slow. He wanted out of this elevator. He wanted to burn the bag.
“Hmm, I see that I must have pressed-,”
“If you call me Kira one more time, I am jumping off the roof.”
“Light-kun, you musn’t make such dire threats.”
Light thunked the back of his head against the mirrored wall. The heat was getting to the both of them and it was one wrong word from ending in a blood bath.
When elevator doors swung open, Light dropped the bag in L’s hands. He debated marching up to his room, but stopped to grab his popsicle.
Over the top of the bag, silver eyes followed his movements. Once Light’s popsicle was retrieved, L dumped the bag onto the floor.
“L! You couldn’t at least do that in the kitchen? These are going to melt all over the floor!” Light gestured towards the confetti of every flavour of popsicle.
“Light-kun… You bought this as a minor?” The popsicles were already forgotten, the hidden items of the bag grabbing L’s attention.
Opening the wrapper to his popsicle, Light nodded. “Being gay isn’t all that accepted in Japan. Even when I was young the community just - we supported each other, you know?”
“Wow… This is quite vulgar.” The sound of the centrefold dropping was loud.
“Mmn.” Light started working at his popsicle, hoping it would last him long enough to escape this conversation.
“Were the boxes you bought always this big?”
Breaking his personal vow to not look up, Light inspected the ‘box’ to which Light was referring to.
Dangling from L’s pinched fingers was a box of 84 condoms.
Light inhaled a piece of his popsicle, breaking into a fit of coughs. “No! Maybe 12 but not- oh my god.”
“What? What has Light-kun deduced?” L continued holding the box of condoms.
“He thought - there were so many popsicles - L - you dumbass.” They could never go back. Light would never show his face in that store again.
L’s eyes widened in understanding, a smile splitting his face. “Ah! He thought we were planning a group event.”
“Yep.” Light nodded, woefully biting at his popsicle. Now instead of being the ‘little gay kid’ to the cashier, he would be the ‘guy who has huge orgies’.
“Well, at least he was generous with the lube.” L pulled out a litre of strawberry flavoured lube. “He even got my favourite flavour.”
Light was seriously rethinking the roof.
“So… You knew the cameras were there?” L curled into a ball, his deductive powers on full alert as he reminisced on the past.
“Yeah, L. There were five!” Light sucked harder at the popsicle, his lips losing sensation.
“There were 64, actually.”
“You really are a pervert.”
“Hmm… yet I was not the one who had a regular order at the convenience store.”
“There, has that satiated your unyielding desire to label me as the killer we caught two years ago?”
“...Hmmm… So you thought you’d been caught… It must have been more than magazines… Did you think your parents had suspected your partner?”
Light chewed harder at the popsicle, L already knew the answer, he just wanted Light to say it.
“Light-kun had a boyfriend at the time of the Kira investigation?”
The wood of the popsicle stick was beginning to poke out.
“How did you do it?”
“Is it legal for my boss to ask these questions?”
L’s eyes followed the drip past Light’s lips, down his chin. “I really wouldn’t consider us employer/employee.”
“Yet you’re still the one who pays me.”
“Technically, it’s Watari-san who pays you.”
“Yes, L I had a boyfriend.” Light sucked the rest of the juice off of the stick.
“How did you do it?” L reiterated his question.
“I’m not going to explain gay sex to you, L! If you’re that interested, watch a video. Or-.” Light opened up the magazine, flipping through the pages. “Or just read this.”
“How to prepare-”
“Quietly. In your head.” Light stole another popsicle from the pile.
“Where are you going, Light-kun?”
“I’m going to spend the rest of my day off in my room with a fan and watch a TV show.”
“A TV show? How mundane.”
Waving his middle finger, Light said goodbye.
—---
The questions only grew more incessant after that.
“Light-kun, what was your favourite position?”
“Light-kun, does it truly feel good when someone licks your hole?”
“Light-kun, did you use a condom everytime?”
“Light-kun, I’ve read another interesting Yaoi, I think you may find it to your liking.”
“Light-kun, how long has it been since you’ve last been intimate with a man?”
Light banged his head against the desk. The questions kept coming. Day after day. Once L found something he didn’t understand, he needed to learn it inside and out. Absolutely had to be the expert on it. Why couldn’t he call anyone else? There has to be other gay people he can talk to.
“Light-kun, I hear America is far more open about gay people, would you like to go there?”
Opening an eye, Light spied L. He searched for any of his signs of mischievosity, instead only finding curiosity.
“Do we have a case there?”
“Oh yes, there are several figure heads that we could look into while we are there. Countless countries have requested it.”
Weighing the concept, Light realized something miraculous. This could finally be Light’s chance to sick L on someone else. Obviously an out gay man would be a lot more comfortable with these questions, right?
“Yeah, let’s go.”
—--
“I’m going to kill you.”
Their hotel in California was luxurious, it had a stunning view of the ocean, a bar, a jacuzzi, and only one bed.
One bed with mirrors on the ceiling, and champagne and roses on red satin sheets.
“Is it not to Light-kun’s liking?” L feigned ignorance, dropping his bags to the floor.
“Where were you planning to sleep, L?” Light slid off his shoes, leaving them in the ample space by the door.
“Hmm… I thought this would be an amusing reminder of our past.”
Glaring at L, Light started unbuttoning his shirt. It was impossible to forget months chained to this psycho. Some days, he could still feel the phantom tug at his wrist.
“Just for one night, then I can get you a standard business room, if you prefer.” The offer was laced with threat; L knew that Light would never downgrade from satin to polyester sheets.
Stripping down, Light decided ignoring him was the best option. Unfortunately, the ample amount of mirrors made it impossible to not notice the eyes following his every move.
“You should get some sleep too.” Light hung up his suit on a hanger, ensuring it wouldn’t get wrinkles.
L did not have the same worries, dumping his clothing in a lump on the ground.
Light’s traitorous heart skipped a beat at L’s near nude form. His lithe body had more muscle than he remembered from years ago. Clearly, L took his advice about going to the gym. For once, they were in matching uniforms, both down to their boxers.
Maybe it had been too long.
Shaking off the thought, Light slid under the sheets. The satin was sleek on his burning skin.
“Going to sleep already, Light-kun?”
Adjusting himself, Light stuffed his face into the pillow. If L saw how red he was, he’d never let him live it down.
—
The case went by in a matter of days. Once the two of them got their heads together, there was nothing that could stop them. For a brief moment, there was a pause from questions or innuendos, it was all focused on the case.
Once they’d sent the documents, they cracked a bottle of whiskey and sat by the fireplace. The dichotomy of the loud fire crackling and the silent twinkling of the city below was a unique sensation of luxury.
Clinking their crystal glasses together, they celebrated their fastest case yet. As they always did, they went over some of the strengths and weaknesses, discussed how the particular programs worked, and complained about how stupid the local police force was.
“Light-kun I apologize.” L sipped at his half sugar half whiskey.
“Hmm? For what?” Elated, Light rested his head on the couch behind him, his ankles crossed by the fire.
“I may have been slightly precocious upon learning Light-kun’s orientation.” Another sip.
“It’s just - I want to be more than that, you know? As soon as someone finds out you’re gay, suddenly you’re reduced to your sexuality.”
“Is that why Light-kun pushed himself so hard?” L rested his head on Light’s shoulder, his ebony hairs tickling at Light’s neck.
“Yeah, that was some of it. I was always terrified of letting my parents down.” The truth was a weight off Light’s chest. He’d always fought to be the perfect child. The best grades, charismatic, talented, and straight. It was horrific to know that he was one unfortunate moment away from his whole persona being ripped away. The wrong person spilling his secret, or his magazines found in a secret compartment. He wanted to be enough for them.
“Well… I think they are very lucky to have Light-kun.”
Warmth filled Light’s chest. L was often quick to say blunt, hurtful things. And it was often hard to tell if you even mattered, but there were some precious moments when L would open up.
“L…” Light watched the auburn liquid swirl around his glass. “Why were you so curious about… well… sex?”
“What do you mean?” He lifted his head off Light’s shoulder, opting to meet Light’s eyes.
Those steel eyes sent a jolt down Light’s spine as he fought to find the right words. “Well… You seemed very interested in that kind of… sex… Do you …. Are you…”
L’s pupils dilated, exhilarated at the comprehension of what Light was pattering around. “I am quite interested in what it would be like to have intercourse with you, Light-kun.”
Light gurgled at the direct shot. “I was… Asking in general if you might be gay.”
“Hmm…” L dragged his nose across Light’s exposed collarbone. “I might be.”
“Oh.” Light whispered, goosebumps spreading across his skin. “And… And you wanted me to show you?”
Groaning, L dropped his head, pushing the crown of his skull into Light’s chest. “Yeah - I’d really like that.”
“Okay.”
“Really?” L shot up again, his eyes more black than silver.
“Yeah, I’ll go clean up.”
“Worry not, I brought all of Light-kun’s supplies.”
Sighing at the implication, Light shrugged it off and headed to the bathroom.
—--
Steamy and clean, Light wrapped the fluffy white bathrobe around him. His nerves still tingled, worried that he’d mess something up. Tugging on the ties, he stepped out of the bathroom. The fire had dimmed to an ember, their work messed completely cleaned. The bed was remade and re-adorned with rose petals. Maybe L was the type of person who wanted his first time to be special.
On the bedside table, L set out the supplies. He’d taken out a few condoms, which Light thought was a bit presumptuous, but he gave L leeway since he was new. The entire litre of lube was now cracked open.
L, in his bathrobe, gave Light a shy smile.
“Are you sure about this?” The bed shifted under Light’s weight as he crawled up to L.
“Yeah.” L’s voice cracked, his breathing heavy.
“Okay.” Light undid his bathrobe, letting it slide open.
“Fuck.” L shifted up, lifting his chin.
Eagerly, Light pushed forward, his lips crashing onto L’s. L’s lips still tasted of sweet sugar, and for once, Light wanted to drink it all. Pushing forward, Light started to climb up on L, wanting every bit of him. Cold hands snaked into his robe, grabbing at his hips.
There was a piece of Light that was worried they’d start and L would get disgusted, that he’d realize he was actually completely straight. To his relief, he was met with a rock hard erection that he desperately rubbed against, moaning into L’s mouth.
“You’re so hot - so beautiful.” L groaned, meeting Light’s thrusts. “I want to fuck you so much.”
Light let out a moan, his head falling back. Above them, they looked back. Light’s bathrobe had slipped, now pooled around his waist. The friction had started to pry open L’s own bathrobe, his pale chest sticking out. And L… L looked as if he was going to devour Light.
Since it was L’s first time, Light had dutifully prepared.
Impatient, Light ripped open L’s robe. His erection was already weeping onto his stomach. It wasn’t the first time he’d seen it, but it was the first time he’d gotten to touch it. Trying to control his own moans, Light wrapped his hand around L’s thick cock.
“Oh fuck.” L thrusted into Light’s hold. “Fuck that feels so good.”
Light had assumed that it was his first time with a man - but was it his first time ever? He hadn’t thought to ask.
“Stop thinking.” L uncharacteristically commanded.
“Wh-ah!”
Pulling Light’s hand away, he flipped them over, L’s housecoat now a cape around him.
With fumbling hands, Light shoved off L’s housecoat, throwing it to the ground.
L was eager and Light was doing his best to keep up. His lips were everywhere, his teeth leaving little nips against his skin. He expertly rubbed his member against Light’s, freeing his hands to move Light how he wanted.
It was already too good.
Light’s nails dug into L’s shoulders, tearing skin. His legs were trembling as they spread open for him.
“Look at you…” His voice was low and hoarse; it was incredibly unfair for anyone’s voice to sound that sexy.
Pulling away, L shimmied down the bed.
“What are you- I-”
L poked at Light’s stretched entrance, shocking Light.
“You started without me, how unfair.” L’s tongue lapped at his entrance.
“Ngh!” Light gripped the sheets. L was eager, licking him like he was the last popsicle. Without warning, he pressed his tongue into Light’s body, pushing out a scream. “Oh fuck - oh fuck!” Light clenched L’s hair, fighting for some sense of control, but L kept going deeper, harder.
Light watched in panic as his feet started to tremble, an orgasm already building.
“Stop - fuck!” Light pushed L away by his forehead.
L’s grin was covered in spit. “Are you ready, Light-kun?”
“Y-yeah, just put it in.” Light stammered, truly baffled at what was occurring.
With wide eyes, Light tracked L’s movement as he squeezed out some lube. To say he was shocked was an understatement. L carried himself with a confidence and skill that did not make sense for a virgin.
“Mmn… so sexy…” L muttered as he rubbed lube up his shaft.
Light’s cheeks reddened, a distant memory of a chain linking them. Wanting to touch, but never closing the distance.
“Fuck, how is every part of you so pretty?” L lined himself up, the pressure burning.
“Shut-”
L pushed himself into Light. He was slow but firm, setting the pace.
Light’s head dropped back, letting out a groan at the intensity of being split. L was commanding his body, taking over it.
“So good for me. Just like that.” L grabbed one of Light’s legs, pushing it into his chest.
Overwhelmed by the mirrors, Light focused on L. His brows furrowed as he concentrated on the task before him, his mouth slightly open in awe, the rest of his face slack.
“Almost there.”
“Oh - fuck-” L was huge. Objectively, he knew this. But being filled to his stomach was entirely different.
“You feel so good, fuck I just want to live inside you.” L pressed their pelvises together, finally fully inside.
With a proud smirk, L rubbed Light’s stomach, putting pressure against where his dick pressed up.
Panting, Light scrambled for something to hold onto.
“Here.” L took Light’s hands, wrapping them around his neck. His breath was moist against Light’s lips as he stole another kiss. Their sweat drenched skin pressed against each other in a moment of anticipation. “Hold on tight, okay?”
Nodding, Light wrapped his arms and legs around L, holding on for dear life.
L tugged at the hair behind Light's ear with one hand, the other gripped onto an ass cheek hard enough to bruise. Brushing their lips together, L pulled out and slid back in.
“Ugh!” Light’s grip altered to better hold L, one arm curling around his waist, his hand on the flat between L’s shoulders. The other cupped his face. L nuzzled into the hand, his eyelashes fluttering against Light’s palm.
“Where-” L mumbled, using his grip on Light as a handle to adjust their position.
“Ah!” Light’s mouth fell open, his vision blurred with white stars.
“There it is.”
Once L found Light’s prostate, he hammered it like a madman. Unable to control himself, Light was reduced to feral noises. Each time L slammed back in, Light’s entire body set ablaze. The obscene sound of their flesh smacking echoed against the walls.
“Ugh - you feel so good - so fucking good, Light-kun.”
Light’s nails dug in between his shoulder blades, leaving angry red marks. The fingers around L’s face curled, but were too weak to mar skin.
“You're so lovely like this- mmm,” L kept talking, most of it nonsensical, but his low voice was scratching the itch in Light’s brain.
L was capturing every sense and tearing him down piece by piece.
“L! Oh fuck!”
A smirk flashed over L’s face, a competitive glint in his eye.
Backing up further, L pulled out to the tip, then slammed back in smashing Light's prostate.
“Ah! Ah! Ah!” Light couldn't stop himself from yelling, his vision fading as a warmth flushed over his body. Starting deep within his stomach, the tingles spread to his fingers, finally bursting onto his stomach in hot white ropes.
“You look so hot when you cum.” L rearranged himself to lick some of Light’s orgasm right off his chest.
“So… obscene…” Light panted, his legs trembling. His entire body felt cold, depleted of all his strength.
“It's okay, I've got you.” L pulled the blanket up over them and pulled Light in tight to his chest. He littered kisses over paled skin. “Do you want water? A bit of sugar will help.”
“Yeah, I could eat.” Light’s voice was scratchy, clearly he'd been louder than he thought.
“Okay, you stay here.” L wrapped him snugger than a bug in a rug.
Depleted of energy and words, Light watched L’s naked ass jiggle as he pranced over to grab them a box of powdered doughnuts.
Grabbing his phone, Light checked the time, expecting at least twenty minutes to have passed since he finished his shower. “Five minutes?”
“Hmm?” L asked, crawling onto the bed.
“We only - you and I - FIVE MINUTES?” L desperately hid the shame with anger. “How did a virgin-”
“I never said I was a virgin.” L popped a doughnut into his mouth, powder sticking to his lips.
“What? But you - heavily implied it!”
With a mouth full, L responded. “It's not my fault Light inferred, you simply could have asked.”
“UGH! Have you been with other guys?”
“Almost exclusively.”
Why did it feel like L had cheated in a game? Emotions broiled and turned in Light's stomach, rage, sadness, defeat, jealousy.
“Wh- since when?”
“Light-kun,” his mouth was stuffed. “Ibe been giwing bro yobs sinshe before you were born.”
“Wh- that's too young, L!”
Shrugging, L swallowed, already shifting around doughnuts to look for the next one. “Private school.”
Simmering with rage, Light snatched the carefully selected doughnut from L’s hand. Maintaining eye contact, he shoved the entire thing into his mouth.
Letting out a gasp, L covered his heart. “Light-kun, was it truly that bad?”
Light munched angrily. The part that was bad wasn't that it was bad. It was that he wasn't honest. The sex was amazing. Light didn't know sex could feel that good.
L’s eyes widened, a smirk taking over. “Ah, I see, you're not fully satisfied.
Light’s cock twitched, smearing droplets of cum onto his skin, the promise of more heavy in the air. Because as much as Light wanted to punch L upside the head- the sex was really really good.
“Don't worry, Light-kun, I will take care of you.” L guided Light back to lean against the pillows.
A flash of frustration hit Light, why was he being so pliable? L didn't deserve easy, or softness.
Sliding between Light’s legs, L sucked up his hardening dick.
“Oh - yeah.” Light fingered his hand through L’s thick mane, pulling his hair out of his face.
L’s silver eyes watered, his lips stretched over Light. He was obscene. Hot in a way he had no business being.
Expert fingers slid into his hole, gently massaging Light’s prostate. It was truly unfair how quickly L could find that bundle of cells.
L kept sucking him until his entire body was shaking, the sheets close to tearing in his grip. He pulled off of Light with a satisfied pop, his lips swollen and red.
Light wanted to punch him. Never had anyone continually driven Light to the brink of insanity like this little monster had.
“Turn over.” L instructed him, leading his hips with his hands. “This time, I’ll make sure you last, Light-kun.” It was a promise and a threat.
His weeping erection slid against the satin sheet as L slid himself back inside Light.
“Ngh…” Light grunted at the intrusion, his body readily accepting L.
“You take me so well.” L bit the back of Light’s neck, ripping a shriek from Light.
The second time, they lasted about twenty minutes. After that, they lost count.
—-
The elevator ride up to their home was silent. Both the buttons for Light’s floor and L’s floor were illuminated. Unasked questions floated in the air, did their intimacy stay in America? What were they now? Did they go back to coworkers who occasionally break into fist fights?
A bit of shame churned in Light’s stomach, making him nauseous. The heavy lump had been weighing on him since they left the hotel room. Light rested his head against the mirror, watching the floors tick by.
“Thank you for these past few days, Light-kun.”
The same thank-you he got when passing over documents. A standard polite formality.
Light wanted to puke.
When his floor dinged, he pushed himself out, refusing to make eye contact with L.
Meticulously, he unpacked all of his clothes, loaded his laundry hamper, and began his nighttime routine. His skin was littered with teeth marks and bruises from L. The only proof that he hadn’t dreamed it up. Evading his eyes in the mirror, Light brushed his teeth, the silence loud.
His bed was cold. The sheets smelled clean and crisp.
Forcing his eyes closed, he tried to picture anything besides L. That man was a parasite, infecting every inch of his brain. Light hated him, he really hated him. What was their work going to be now? Would they both move on as if nothing happened? Light tossed and turned in his bed, his mind racing.
A knock echoed in his empty apartment.
Only two people had the ability to make it to this floor besides himself; he doubted it was Watari.
Groaning, Light kicked off the blankets. Would that monster never leave him alone? He just wanted to wallow.
The creature on the other side of the door was pitiful. Dark bags painted the underside of his eyes, his skin ghostly in the moonlight. His white t-shirt was wrinkled, his black boxers likely the same ones he flew in. Chewing on his thumb, he waited for Light to greet him.
“Do you know what time it is?”
“I couldn’t sleep, Light-kun.” L lowered his eyes, avoiding Light’s expression of irritation. “Can I sleep in Light-kun’s bed tonight?”
Something within Light shattered, a precarious doubt he didn’t know he was holding.
“You better go straight to sleep.” Light turned away from the door, leaving L to close it behind himself.
“I promise, Light-kun.” L’s bare feet padded along the floor, close behind him.
“Ridiculous. Waking me up at 11 at night.” Light tutted, peeling back the blankets for them.
“Hmm… I don’t believe Light-kun was sleeping yet.” L murmured, snuggling into Light under the sheets.
“I was in bed.” Light defended his lie with a truth.
“Hmm.” L acknowledged his statement, wrapping around Light like a backpack. As he tightened his hold, the knot in Light’s stomach began to unfurl. Small kisses below his ear replaced the sensation of dread with one of warmth. “My bed is much nicer, Light-kun. Tomorrow, we should sleep there.”
A promise of another night. Of continuing whatever this was. The weight lifted.
“Okay, L.” Light squeezed one of the hands clinging onto him. “You better wash your sheets.”
“Anything for Light-kun.” His nose buried into Light’s hair. After a few short breaths, the insomniac behind him fell asleep. Wrapped in warmth, Light was close behind him, his heart thudding under L’s limp fingers.
AJIN WEEK '25 - DAY TWO - || HEAT || MORNING || FAV RELATIONSHIP
A Safe Place to Rest
Rating: Teen and Up
Summary: Kei wakes up from a nightmare to Kaito making breakfast with his IBM.
A bit 🤏 angsty, but mostly fluff.
Content Warning: Canon-Typical Violence
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Heart thudding in his ears, Kei’s eyes darted open to four square blinding lights. Darting his eyes back and forth, he couldn’t picture his surroundings, only a sense of dread. His arms and legs were pinned, mouth covered. The more he squirmed against the restraints, the more they snaked around him; a vice tightening on the table.
“Heart rate and temperature are normal.”
How could his heart rate be normal? His chest was sore from how quick his heart was racing.
The distinct sound of an electrical saw whirred to the right of him.
“NO!” Kei tried to scream - his voice stolen. “Stop - please!”
How could he make them stop? Why won't they stop?
His wrists shook against the restraints. Could he break them? How many were there? Shuffling feet and eerily calm voices surrounded him.
The wind from the saw’s blade bit at his arm.
One of the trays smashed, clattering to the floor.
A warm laugh was out of place in the room of horrors.
Gasping for breath, Kei opened his eyes once again, no longer on the table.
Instinctively, he brought his hand to his shoulder, checking that it was intact. He moved each of his limbs, ensuring that he was no longer strapped.
A bead of sweat dripped past his nose. Tears streaked his face.
His lungs still shaky, he forced deeper breaths. His fingers curled into the scratchy sheets on his bed. Tugging the blanket to his face, he erased the clinical scent of disinfectant with the smell of Kei. Inhaling, he counted through his breath, grounding himself to his reality. The raw wood walls that Kai, the ghost, and Kei had built together. Through the window, the morning sun rose over the trees. There were no signs of human life, no hums of traffic or street lights.
“I’m sorry to have caused you so much trouble.” Kei’s IBM spoke from the kitchen.
“Hah, it’s alright man. See, we just give it a quick wipe and it’s all fixed.” Kai spoke to the ghost as if they were family.
Kei found it a bit odd at first, but he was quick to come around. In such an isolated place, having another being helped to stave off insanity.
Pushing the blankets off of himself, Kei carefully swung himself out of bed. His muscles were still sore, fighting for his life while he slept. Groaning, Kei pressed his feet into the floor, stepping towards the threshold into the main part of their small house. Resting against the doorway, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Kai glowed in the light of the morning. The sun reflected off his hair, now long enough that he pulled it into a ponytail. All he wore was a yellow pair of boxers with black smiley faces and his obnoxiously loud pink slides. A huge grin spread over his face as he hung up a dirty rag, the last remaining evidence of the clattering that had woken Kei.
“Okay, let’s try again.” Kai set a bowl in front of Kei’s ghost.
The giant black mass paused for a moment, analyzing the bowl in front of him.
“Here you go.” Kai passed him an egg, the ghost hesitating before taking it.
Pinching the egg, the ghost spun the egg around in his hand, inspecting each bump and shade on it.
“Yep, now just like I showed you-,” Kaito held an egg in his own hand. Eyeing the ghost, he carefully tapped it on the edge of the bowl, cracking it. Pulling the halves apart, the yolk plopped into the bowl.
The ghost, in an attempt to copy him, tapped the egg too gently on the edge, not leaving a single crack. His solution was to simply chuck it into the bowl. The shell cracked as yolk shot up, spraying both Kai and the IBM.
“That was better!” Kai commended him, giving a nod. “We just have to make sure to take out the shells.” He pinched the larger parts of the shell out, then fished away the rest with a spoon.
Kai continued to vocalize everything he did, walking the IBM through each step, as if the beast needed to eat at all. However ridiculous it seemed to Kei, the ghost seemed genuinely interested in watching Kaito, in learning from him; he thrived under Kaito’s attention. It was likely an echo from Kei’s own self.
“Stupid.” The IBM muttered, hovering over Kai’s shoulder.
“Hey man, big words from someone who can’t crack an egg.” Kai shrugged off the insult, far too used to it (from the ghost and Kei alike).
A chuckle escaped Kei’s lips, alerting Kai to his presence.
“Oh!” Kaito peered over his shoulder. Yolk was speckled across his grinning face, his zircon green eyes sparkling at the sight of Kei. “You’re up early!” He poked at the sizzling pan.
“I guess.” Kei shrugged, not wanting Kai to worry.
However, Kai could read Kei easier than a book. His brow furrowed, his lips pinched. Giving one last shake, he took the pan off the heat, shutting the gas off with a click.
“Did you have another nightmare?” He rubbed his soiled hands on a dishtowel.
“It’s fine-”
“Why won’t they stop?” His IBM echoed the lingering sentiments from his dream.
Rolling his eyes, Kei muttered under his breath that he was a traitor.
“Come ‘ere.” Kai’s slides slapped against his feet as he stepped closer to Kei, his arms spread. He was truly a ridiculous creature.
Yet, there was nothing as comforting as being in Kai’s hold. He tightly squeezed Kei, one hand firm at his nape, playing at the base of his hairline. Kei rested his cheekbone against the place where Kai’s shoulder met his neck. Though faint, Kei could hear a whisper of Kaito’s heartbeat.
“I love him.” The IBM wandered aimlessly, his mission now over.
Kei’s face burned red at the truth that hadn't passed his lips yet.
Chuckling, Kai kissed his face, giving him an extra squeeze for good measure.
“I love you too.”
With a sour face, Kei pushed him away; Kaito knew better than to take it to heart.
“Come on, eat. You’re losing too much weight.” Kaito pointed towards the bowls.
“My weight is fine!” Kei argued, reaching for the bowls nonetheless.
Together they set up their, mostly shell free, breakfast. The IBM wandered outside, existing however he wanted. Kei’s chest felt warm, as if his heart was leaking into his chest. It was frightening to know someone had such a hold on you.
“You gotta eat more than that.” Kai scraped some more scrambled eggs onto his plate, not leaving any room for debate.
Giving Kai a slight smirk, Kei dug into his breakfast. Though it could be scary for someone to hold so much of himself, he trusted Kai. He knew that Kai would keep his heart safe.

Summary:
Kaito forces Kei to enjoy the water.
-
Kaito dragged Kei over gnarled roots. His skin was well kissed by the sun in contrast to Kei's lighter arm. Pink scratches littered his bare chest, marred by bushes and thorns. His cargo shorts sagged, shifting with each step as he heaved Kei through the forest.
Obsessively, Kei watched the skies for any signs of drones or planes. He'd mapped out a black out zone, which Kaito consistently ignored.
“We're almost there.” Kaito panted, sweat trickling down his nape.
Rolling his eyes, Kei submitted to being yanked around like a misbehaved dog. Kaito was incorrigible, once he had an idea, not even Kei could stop him.
“Look, Kei, isn't it beautiful?” Kaito paused at the entry to a clearing.
Trees parted for a crystal clear pond, a thin waterfall trickling over rocks. The sun’s sparkles were blinding on the inviting ripples.
Kei let out a low growl at the base of his throat. It felt exposed, risky.
“Why couldn’t this wait until night?” Kei bit, tugging his hand back from Kaito’s hold.
Kaito’s grip firmed, digging his fingers into Kei’s forearm. Grounding his position, he held strong while Kei turned and pushed within his grip. Kaito simply watched him, waiting for him to tire himself out. Though Kei was the immortal, there was no doubt as to who was stronger.
“Ugh, Fuck! Do you want to get caught?” Kei gave a few more tugs, his teeth clenching.
“Hey.” Kaito gave a little pull, forcing Kei into the clearing. “I know you’re scared.”
“I’m not scared!” Kei was a fish out of water, thrashing in Kaito’s hold.
“Just, LISTEN!” Kaito grabbed and trapped Kei. Kei’s back was against Kaito’s stomach and they’d bent slightly, forcing Kei to look at the mud and rocks they’d kicked up during their scuffle. “We don’t even know if Sato is out there.”
“But -”
“No.” Kaito squeezed tighter. “I agree that we should be safe. But we can’t stop living.”
“Is that a gamble you really want to take?” Kei seethed as he relaxed into his precarious position.
“Yeah, I’m fine with it.” Kaito picked Kei up, his feet kicking in the air. Without a moment's notice, he tossed Kei into the pond with a high pitched thunk. Water splashed back, smacking Kaito in the face.
With a face splitting grin, Kaito peeled off his cargo shorts, running into the water after him.
Kei shot through the water’s surface, droplets soaring into the air. “You fucking asshole!” Kei slapped the water, the sting against his palm giving him a surge of adrenaline. “My clothes are soaked!”
Laughing, Kaito waded towards him, the water cool on his hot skin.
“What are you laughing at?” Kei’s voice was still laced with venom, but Kaito could already hear the ire fading.
“You look like a wet cat.” With a low chuckle, Kaito reached out to ruffle Kei’s slicked back hair.
“I hate you.” Kei shook off the new hairstyle Kaito had given him.
“I can live with that.” Kaito pushed himself up, his body floating in the water. Closing his eyes, he let the sounds of the forest take over. Birds were chirping as a breeze rolled through the trees. Freshly turned dirt and the aroma of fresh pine melded with the crisp scent of fresh water.
Irritated at Kaito’s relaxed manner, Kei jumped on him, pulling him under.
Big green eyes shot open under the surface of the water, startling Kei. Bleached hair stood up, dancing in the water under the bubbles Kaito breathed out. Pushing himself out of the surface of the water, he let out a little laugh.
“That’s the spirit!”
Kaito was infuriatingly optimistic. He greeted danger as an old friend. He deserved to be dunked at least once more.
Kei shoved his head under the water again, bubbles coming up faster this time. Turning his hips, Kei attempted to flee the scene, but Kaito’s hands were quick to grab his ankle. Stuck, Kei paddled furiously to no avail, the grip on his leg a vice. With a squeeze, Kaito ripped Kei’s leg back, not letting go until it was behind him.
“Hey! Don’t- you!” Kei feebly rejected him as Kaito wrapped Kei’s legs around his waist.
Ignoring his defiance with a smile, Kaito pulled them closer together. Kei let out a shiver as their chests met, Kaito’s skin cold against his.
Finally giving into the recklessness, Kei rested his forehead against Kaito’s. Their noses brushed as their ragged breaths tickled each other’s lips. Giving a hum of appreciation, Kaito pecked at Kei’s lips.
His kiss was wet, a small taste of the pond.
“You’re an idiot.” Kei mumbled, tightening himself around Kaito.
“I know.” Kaito agreed, stealing another kiss.
There may never be another moment where Kei feels safe. He’d seen Sato pull too many tricks - and believed they were ignorant to believe that’s all he had up his sleeve. The world was still morbidly curious about Ajin’s; nightmares of the torture table still plagued his nightmares. Though he may never feel safe at least, with Kaito, he could feel peace.
When I saw Lawlight week, I actually planned the last two days first. It is ironic that, now that the deadline has passed, they are the only two that didn't make it in.
After Ajin week I do plan to finish the two prompts left for Lawlight week. Obviously, they won't be in the collection due to the late deadline passing today.
I thought I would post this to say, if you're interested, here is a link to the series that is in progress:
