right alright for the first time in my life I have opened my heart the the Sonic franchise!

I fucking loved the third one. I watched it first so my partner could exuberantly take me to see it in theatres--Shadow performed one of the best. the BEST. akira bike slides--I was gagged in the theaters.

After seeing it, we went home (our night off) and watched the first ad second movies; Knuckles is my favorite, I dunno if that's a hot take or not, but I think Idris Elba sounded like he was having a good time doing it, so that was enough for me.

I also watched the little Knuckles miniseries and it was very cute, very fun.

I dunno, I know next to nothing about this insane franchise. But the movies seem to be doing a great job. much love to y'all.

now that What We Do in the Shadows has ended...

wow, I can't believe it's over. This was my Covid series and carried me through college and the start of post-graduation. It's my most-reccomended show to friends and family, and I think I've rewatched more of this than any other shows I've seen in my lifetime.

Honestly, I'm not surprised at what Taika had to say about it. His ego had gotten ahead of himself and I feel his opinions aren't worth taking seriously. The fact that they continued this for six whole years when he's lamented that it's only worth a five minute sketch speaks volumes to how talented and resourceful everyone involved besides Taika are.

I am pleased to see how eager the cast is about do spin-offs; it was a treat to be a part of the community <3

had terrible cramps and took the hottest bath on this side of the hemisphere and though I overflowed the tub and almost burnt my towels with a new tea candle at least this banger is back

i think I understand that feeling of elation when folks go to the bar and their favorite hockey team wins.

because lord, while I was shaving in the shower, I cheering like a hooligan.

in the past few months I've joined a couple volunteer orgs and I mentioned at a meeting once that all my pet invertebrates are named after anime characters.

well during one meeting the homies were like, "gp, what are you're critters' names?"

unfortunately, all my pet inverts (tarantulas, millipedes, isopods) are named after anime and manga characters, mainly jjba.

well, my bumblebee millipede is named Ryuk. i explained it was one that stumped a lot of friends and one mate on the call goes,

"Ryuk? How? Have your friends even heard of apples before? What about potato chips?"

and here is Ryuk. and yes she is full grown.
