i figured i’d probably be happier here, with you… i’ve been gone a while, you see— unlike some other voices, i have other places to go unrelated to those in the clearing, so i got a bit… busy.
when i came back, owen was… he remembered. and it made me sad. i hoped it would be different— like you, i guess, since apparently you’ve been looping through the series, again and again.

Yeah, I understand that. A lot of the other Voices also have stuff that they need to do a lot of the time, and unlike Owen, I don't begrudge you of your absence.
Oh. Um... Silly, I don't know exactly how to tell you this, but... I'm the one who told him what happened. I'm the reason he has his memories back, and then I ran off and now I'm hiding in the Maze. I see him pass by below, some days.
...Once I even thought he saw me. I could have sworn we made eye contact.
I guess not, though, because he didn't say anything, just continued on his way.
