Johnny Truant's segments were so insufferable that when it got to Navidson and his crew finally about to explore the labyrinth only to be interrupted by Johnny talking about his stripper girlfriend, I was so fed up, stopped reading, and read the Wikipedia page about the book instead

fair enough honestly though i would just skip them if you were interested in actually reading the rest, you lose absolutely NOTHING by simply skipping the johnny truant rants, i was waiting the whole time for it to somehow connect to the house and have an impact of some sort that would make it worth it but it was all so completely irrelevant i just started screaming after i finished the book and realized i could’ve skipped them myself
