I'm sure I'm not this first to come up with this, but I like to think that smoke deflectors on engines work similarly to blinders/blinkers on a horse, keeping them focused & calm- I can especially imagine them being put on the more aggressive/rowdy engines to keep them from getting into fights or being otherwise distracted from their jobs-
I mean, just look at the resemblance!

I feel like someone has already said this but Simon definitely gives off like, 6'3"+ vibes where Mark is like 5'10"
I just find it both silly and impressive that he can exude tall man energy only when he is playing Simon (for example, Darkiplier is definitely the same height as Mark, and Yancy also gives off short king energy.)
