i didn’t feel like drawing any of my fire dragons today haha,, but i’ve been itching to design Silrucan, a gargoyle-y tundra who works as my clan’s locksmith! He loves puzzles in general too c:
Gimme the ☕️ on least and most favourite FR genes! And colours too :)
Trying to condense my lair into 9 dragons representative of my taste with minimal gene/color overlap is such a entirely self-imposed challenge but whew i think i did it!
My fave genes are definitely: Jaguar, Clown, Ribbon, Seraph, Eye Spots, Noxtide, Ghost, Peacock, and..ok I had a thing going and Pibb you kind of ruined it I don't think I'd go with Contour as my third fave tert though I do love it too haha Lace, Glimmer, Underbelly, and Runes are my other fave terts but every prim/sec/tert repped here is a good pick for me, especially Tiger, Pinstripe, Eel, and Blend could have been in that top 3 too depending on how I ended up arranging them haha And ones that didn't make it in this dragon batch I love a lot too include Varnish, Swirl, Marbled, Butterfly, Glowtail, and Gecko!
For least favorites...Keel is probably an easy pick fgsfd Capsule is my controversial pick..it can be really beautiful and I'll use it but thinking about the gene logistically just makes my head hurt sometimes dfsgdf. Picking a least fave Prim/Sec is hard..the Veilspun gene Bright has gotta be my least favorite and I do struggle with Mosaic a lot even though I want to like it more. I love Vivid and Breakup however..go figure haha. for least favorite secondary..genuinely i don't think there is one I dislike omg. I guess Chess cuz I still haven't gotten a dragon to rep it (or Checkers) even though I really want to dfgsfd
and hmm colors..Feel free to look back up at those 9 dragons c: Murk, Mauve, Eldritch, Banana, and Ice I think would be my top 5! White, Blackberry, Pearl, Cantaloupe, and Spruce as other pretty close ones.
Bottom 5..uhhh... Steel, Sapphire, Ultramarine, Fog, and Ruby? Sorry blue fans :C thank you!! picking my dragons took way too long. in fact here's more under the cut where i don't care about repeat genes or poses dfgsfd
top five flight rising genes?? maybe top five of each type, primary secondary and tertiary?? maybe ancient special tertiary genes too?? 👀 only if you have time tho!! thats like 3 to 4 top five lists in one message haha, feel free to just do one top five list XD
oooh hmm..i'll do a top six! two of each prim/sec/tert category! (and omg someone just sent a separate ask for ancient terts haha)
Jaguar! My all time favorite primary, always a hit for me. looks wonderful on tundras, and it does such a great job with color distribution, gives them sick eye liner, and is usually pretty fun to draw imo!
Pinstripe! (ahaha sorry dfgsfd) i just love what it does with some colors, it can be so vibrant and unique and honestly i just think it's neat C: i have had to actively stop myself from giving more dragons pinstripe since its kind of a pain to brew fdgsdf
Eye spots! Honestly not sure what it is about the pattern but i just lovely it..vaguely mothy, the circles are neat. pairs well with basically anything! it's similar to jaguar, but less overwhelming as a secondary compared to rosette which i really like. (though i do like rosette too! but just not as much haha)
Seraph! making my dragons into the angels that they are <3 just love the feathery texture, it's always a cute look to me!! and especially for tiny snapper wings haha but it works for everyone c:
Runes! love the little sparkliness and especially love how it colors dragons horns! we need more terts that do that (glimmer and okapi were totally contenders for here too tbh). it always makes for a cute touch on dragons, and is a good magical looking gene since these guys are generally magical beings after all! as much as i love animal-y ones too, if i have to go for a non-animalistic gene this is definitely what i want c:
Peacock!! accent colors my beloved! again, we need more terts that play with accent colors. and also more terts that are more wing-based. peacock is great on both accounts though! i like that it plays into the Fake Eyes thing that some animals have in nature too, but it's also such a vibe c:

OHHH my gosh. the new mp system apparently is working out well cuz i just got 10 dragons gened in less than 5 hours o.o i’m. i’m done with my wind dom gene splurge now dfdsafasdf as for the dragons, we have:
Plumbago who got Saturn and Runes! Silrucan who got Speckle and Seraph!
Jordis who got Rosette and Underbelly! Pocket who got Striation (and peacock from the flash sale a few days ago!) Meridian who got Clown, Hex, and Ringlets! (might change pose too?)
Groth who got Laced and Eye Spots! (needs name scroll though dfdas) Tinamou, who got Snapper’d, Speckle, and Striation! (and peacock from the flash sale afdsfads) Serendipity who got Ridgeback’d, Fade, Remove Sec, and Underbelly (and pose flipped!) (needs name scroll too fasdf)
