a really cool fact about skekso and skeksil and seladon is that they’re all gay and each others’ wives

i had a long day today so i don’t really have the energy to write fic like i want, so instead i’m just gonna write out some of my favorite Soft soladon/silsoladon moments from the castle of the crystal au because i can’t stop thinking about them and i need y’all to understand my pain

skekso nuzzling his beak/snout between seladon’s wing mounts and contentedly purring

seladon washing skekso’s back, and in general helping him bathe when he’s having a particularly bad pain day

related, seladon sitting in his lap in the bath and dozing off against his chest

seladon relaxing in skekso’s lap while he absently twirls her end of tail fluff around his finger while he’s reading

after a long day where skekso and skeksil have been bickering nonstop, all three of them go to bed and seladon wakes up in the middle of the night to them murmuring to each other in their skeksis language and rubbing their beaks/snouts together softly. she’s pressed in between their chests so she can feel their rumbling purrs all around her

the first night that skekso lets seladon actually sleep in his nest, her curled up next to him

seladon massaging skekso’s atrophied arms and threading her fingers through his

skeksil or skekso helping seladon take off her wings before bed or bath, and helping her put them back on later

skekso running his claws through her hair and fur

skekso and skeksil gently billing against her neck and purring

pretty much any soft gay thing they do tbh, i’m fucked up about it all

Finally finished the first chapter of the first of my Soladon fics, and I’m very excited about it. Nothing exceptionally vile happens in this one, but mind the tags!

i sure have been in sdmi hell, but i can’t stop thinking about that fluffy n fighty au ask and now i’m all fucked up about the goth girlfriends again........

Seladon's prosthetic wings must have a lot of tiny mechanisms built in, yes? I imagine she occasionally gets properly tangled when skekSil snatches her into The Fluff, like an earring sometimes will get caught in your hair. And then they're both flailing until skekSo takes pity and comes to their rescue.

I’m pretty sure I actually whispered oh no out loud when I got this, thanks! This is so cute, I’m gonna die about it. SkekSil definitely has a tendency to do a lot of wailing about it while trying to hold Seladon with their secondary arms in such a way that they don’t jostle her and make it worse, and they will fret for a few minutes while Seladon curses at them before they skitter over to skekSo who is pretending she’s not amused by this whole ordeal. SkekSo will do a lot of condescending cooing and scolding of skekSil, but will gently stroke their back while she works on untangling them. When Seladon finally comes free, she sets her down on the ground and nuzzles her cheek with her beak (which Seladon usually returns with a polite kiss on her brow and a gentle “thank you, my lord.”) SkekSil gets a soft kiss from Seladon too, and skekSo gives them a playful bite on their hand.
