something i drew a while ago 😈 i want to say.. i like to think the Emperor is the personification of power in the Chamberlain's eyes, the very thing he adores. Skeksis in general tend to form fascinating attachments, and the Chamberlain's is parasitic. i'd also add that the power the Chamberlain holds at court exists only by the Emperor's grace and initially, the throne wasn't really his main goal. Being the power behind the throne is already a comfortable position, the perfect one. The throne is just a chair, isn't it? Why be the Light that attracts arrows when you can hide in its shadow and rule from there... that's beautiful

lol I replayed the final battle just to take some screenshots and pretend I was getting new content 😋 im starved. Noticed something on my last watch of TDC: AoR

I know probably no one is going to see this and TDC fandom is probably mostly gone but....SkekMal literally has no idea Rian is spreading the truth. Chamberlain tells him that Rian is spreading lies and just never mentions the essence. Kinda makes me think SkekMal wouldn't hunt Rian for telling the truth. He even tells Rian he's going to cut out his 'lying tongue'. He probably would've turned on the other skeksis or at least let them fight their own battles had anyone told him about the essence.
