GOOD NEWS EVERYONE

No seriously, I have good news. After having this much pain in my neck since about November of 2020, I FINALLY have a surgeon referral to get me help. It's getting so bad that drawing, gaming, cooking, it all causes me immense pain down my arms and I'm pretty sure it's causing an incredibly bad headache that doesn't go away after taking any of my migraine or tension headache medication.

So this might mean I have surgery for Christmas (best possible timeframe for me since I aint going anywhere) but I just want to be taken seriously by a doctor for a change.

Ooooh this is a good one!! I think for me personally, its tied between Halsey's Badlands and Panic at the Disco's Death of a Bachelor.

Halsey is.. God, every song on that album seems to fit a time in my life and honestly I could listen to it forever. Colors was kind of my anthem for a while, specifically because of the one line 'I hope you make it to the day you're 28 years old'. I had SUCH a dark time in my life while I listened to that song to fall asleep at night. As soon as my 28th birthday came and went, I felt so powerful, like nothing could stop me, because I accomplished something that my depression told me I wouldn't. So I just, I cling to that album. She makes me feel powerful in general now, and I love the feeling.

Death of a Bachelor came out when I first had my wife move in with me at long last, and of course we bought the album immediately, blaring it in the car for as long as our drivers would tolerate. LA devotee is a song that I definitely relate to on there, because if I WAS in a better financial state? I WOULD be an LA Devotee, living that posh and spoiled life. The biggest reason it's important to me though is because of my wife. Like that memory of first unwrapping the album together, while also nomming on chocolate croissants from Panera across the way. It's just home.

I'm sure if it wasn't 1am and I thought more, I could go on and on but uh ye! I am a Pop Princess, I always will be proud of that lol.

My stress level was so high today, I smoked two cigarettes, and I havent smoked anything in over a year. I only resort to it when I'm dealing with a lot, and I definitely have a lot going on right now.

Yet the smell alone is enough to soothe me? Like the act of smoking is so relaxing and the feel of it in my lungs is so comforting too. I feel so dumb, cause I know how bad smoking is but I just.. ugh.

Idk a lot is going on and I love the sensation and I might order a carton of my comfort cigarettes if things dont calm down.
