I’ve spent the better part of the day ranking on League, because y’know, it’s a thing. You get the hankering and you just do it for a day. 

Today I’ve learned a lot about Silver Elo. Or maybe remembered a lot. For starters:

-It’s never okay to shit talk within the first 20 minutes. Seriously don’t do that. Why do people do that. You always end up eating your words. -Tilting your teammates is not the way to win a game. I have witnessed this both on my team and the other. If you can tilt your team, or if the other team tilts itself before the 20 minute mark you can pretty much be sure that you’ll all give up and lose. -Tilting is a sport. It’s it’s own skillset in League. It’s like an art. Watching teammates or enemy players tilt each other is like. Watching a well written movie. -You’ll have to hit accept at least four times to get into a queue. If you actually get in, you might also have to do it four more times because someone is gonna leave for no reason apparently. -Everyone fears sona. I’m not sure why. She’s very predictable and it makes me sad. -Silver is hell. But at least its not bronze.

League of Legends: Ranked Trolls

I usually don’t like to post rants, but I need to post something about this somewhere so why not post it on Tumblr... League of Legends is a fun game, yeah some champions you just can’t win against because they’re broken as all hell, but it’s still a pretty fun game that I enjoy playing with friends. I enjoy the game so much that I WANT to get good at it and advance through the ranks, but it’s seeming more and more impossible with the amount of people who play ranked simply to do stupid stuff and make you lose the LP you’ve worked hard to earn- the LP that took you 20 games to get because 19 of those games had trolls that made you lose and the 20th one was FINALLY a good game, only to have the 21st have yet another troll. I know a lot of my friends who play ranked have this same problem, its difficult to advance because you have people who go AP Blitzcrank mid, or AP Jhin top, or Teemo ADC. There has to be some kind of system Riot can implement so that players who actually want to advance through the ranks can- so that people like my friends and I can actually feel like we’re getting better at the game- so that when we have a positive KD ratio we can actually win games. I know a lot more goes into a game of League than just KD ratios and getting dragons. You have to control objectives, get vision all over the map, know when certain champions are going to get a power spike, you have to know your champion and your teams champions- all of this only scratches the surface of League. It doesn’t matter how much game knowledge you have, if one of your teammates is a troll it’s an automatic loss. It’s difficult enough to win a 5 versus 5, but to win a game that’s 4 people versus 5- especially when you’re out comped to begin with- is near impossible. I just wish Riot would come up with a way to get the trolls out of ranked, or at least make it feel like less of a detriment to players who have had a troll on their team and lost a ranked game because of it. If nothing else ban the trolls from playing ranked games for a few months until their behavior improves- like, not being reported in other game modes for, I don’t know, 2-3 months then allow them to play ranked again? Just please, come up with some kind of system that stops people like this from ruining people who actually want to try to get better’s experience in ranked. I’m sure I speak for MANY ranked players when I say we’re getting pretty damn tired of the trolls ruining our games. #1 Reason I’m posting this right now is because the last game I played we had a guy in Champion select say he was going AP Jhin top- everyone thought he was joking. Guess what, he built a freaking Frost Queen’s Claim first item, Ionian boots, then was building into a Morellonomicon and had a Needlessly Large Rod on top of that. Halfway through the game he abandoned top and decided to go bot where my ADC and I were doing just fine, then this Jhin proceeded to feed our lane. He ended up 0/8/4 collectively ruining the game for the rest of my team. I wouldn’t be as annoyed as I am currently if I hadn’t just won the last game I played after being on a losing streak so bad I deranked to Bronze 4 after finally getting to Bronze 3. All I want right now is to be back in Silver like I was last season, at least there weren’t as many trolls in Silver... ;~;

League Rant

Just placed into Silver 2. Entered a new game. Repeated dcs from unknown source for 10 mins. Score is 0/2/0, which is expected. AD bitches at me for no reason. Overall game score 2 to 7. I play like always, no raging, no arguing with others. Overall game score at end 13 to 45. My ending score is 1/3/3. I am 1/15th of their kills. So who fed in the end? You with the 4/7 or me with my 1/3?

The season 3 ranking system is a fucking joke.

So fucking aggravating.. Solo queue and do well, lose. Duo with silver friends we both do well, lose. Duo with GOLD 2 friends and we both do well, lose. I just want to win at least ONCE in a while. Been in promos BACK to silver 3 three times now and always win the first and lose the nest two because people don't know how to not feed in lane. Just go even, don't fight unless the jungler is there if you're behind. These are basic things that you should know but nobody higher than me seems to get that. I'm perpetually stuck in mid silver no matter what I do. Sigh.. just want a win every now and then.
