Found a July, 1992 issue of NOW Magazine (rip) last night. This ad for a Neil Gaiman signing at the old Silver Snail location popped out at me. Season of Mists hardcover had just come out. I was still a few months away from reading my first issue of The Sandman, discovering it during a repeat episode of Prisoners of Gravity on TVO.

Time: Sunday, April 23rd, 7pm – 11pm Location: The Silver Snail 329 Yonge St, Toronto (Up the stairs) Cost: FREE! Comic Shop Ladies Night is back in full swing for Spring! This is a ladies-only event* where you can embrace your geeky side, share your opinions on movies, TV shows and video games, and discover new comics, as well as new friends! So come spend the evening with other nerdy ladies in a casual environment, surrounded by three of the greatest things ever, comics, merch and food. This Ladies Night will be held at the amazing Silver Snail in downtown Toronto. The store has tons of comics, toys and merch and will be open for business all night with special sales just for Ladies Night attendees. We’ll also have amazing door prizes being raffled off all night! As always, we’ll have a nerdy photo booth and of course our popular coloring table, so bring your pencils and imagination. Silver Snail is a long-lived, well-beloved comic book store in Toronto; it makes a cameo on the first page of this Alpha Flight story in Marvel Fanfare #28, 1986, by Bill Mantlo and Ken Steacy. (A letter a few issues later points out that its take on Québécois separatist politics managed to get nearly everything wrong...)
