It’s Toy Time Tuesday! With...Breyer Unicorn Surprise Bag Series 4 - Silver! Sometimes simple is super...and it sure is here! This running pose unicorn that appears on almost every wave of these is completely lovely in bright silver. Notice that some of the hair tips are pearl white. With gold hooves & horn, plus a dark silver for the nose she is so lovely. This isn’t the chase figure from the wave (that will appear later) but the paint sure is special enough to be so. It’s probably about as bright as you can get without being electroplate. The combination of silver with a touch of gold and white, plus the pretty and active pose just adds up to this being a real stand out from...well...the entire line of them so far. A great choice, and only 3 dollars! DO collect this one, she is a fave of mine for certain.

It’s Ice Rosette! This is a Breyer Unicorn Crazy Surprise Bag custom. Since you never know what you’ll get....you’re bound to get a duplicate of someone who isn’t rare. And duplicates mean it’s time to customize. This one actually took a long time to complete because he started out as just chrome with the pink hair & got no further. However, he kept not looking ‘complete’ as a character (for months...) but then, leopard spots! Leopard spots are sometimes called ‘rosettes’, so, that’s where he got his name. The spots complete the look and tie it together with pink and purple. The glossy shimmer magenta streak in the mane & tail add a little style. His hooves are a darker magenta with glitter in it. The horn has an iridescent pink cast to it...but the camera didn’t really pick it up. The chrome enamel is a really cool base, but it can overpower some designs or make things look bland when you’d rather not--so it can be a challenge to use. However, it’s super well worth while because you can get a very fun result that doesn’t look like anything on store shelves. He’s in the A Horse of Every Color Etsy in July 2020.
