Also wait I'm back because I finished reading the first skandar book and you know, yeah his mom's the Weaver and also alive and also faked her death twice and now he has to either tell his sister or she finds out herself and gets pissed and you know whatever.
But my boy Mitchell helping Skandar not get kicked out. I knew you'd come around. I knew you'd come to love them. I now pronounce you besties for life along with Bobby and Flo. Hopefully none of them betray each other because I do love them.
Also Bobby is and always will be the best. I'm sorry she's been ride or die from day one. We love her
And of course the relatable king that is Skandar.
I'm curious to see what they do with Amber in the next books, because Skandar and Bobby obviously overheard her conversation with her mum, and yes she's a bully. But this book seems very big on 'you don't have to be who your parents want you to be', 'you don't have to be like them' and 'you can unlearn the hatred people taught you' so I wouldn't mind some sort of redemption arc for her but I don't know if that's what will happen.
Also, I'm convinced all the teachers low key knew he was a spirit weilder, or at least nor a water weilder. Especially the head water weilder person (Anderson? I think?), but for whatever reason didn't mention it, whether that be because they disagreed with all the spirit weilders being locked up/killed for the actions of one individual, they low key agree that only a spirit weilder can stop the Weaver or they just figure he'll be a nomad anyway so it won't even matter. Like she didn't really seem surprised when it was all revealed so I'm guessing they knew something was up

okay I’m gonna ramble again here we go
spoilers for book 3
Skandar 7/10: slightly awkward but it’s nice. Loose arms.
Bobby 6/10: sorry Bobby your hugs are great but she will definitely attempt to either crack your bones or lift you up.
Mitchell 8/10: detailed research hugging. Also very warm because he’s a fire wielder.
Flo 11/10: wonderful. The best. Doesn’t hug strangers but if you’re close to her? So comforting.
Jamie 6/10: doesn’t hug people much. Just wraps his arms around gently.
Amber 5/10: neither of her parents have definitely ever hugged her before so really stiff.
Kenna 7/10: used to be pretty enthusiastic! And now.
Agatha 5/10: either really stiff or bone crushing. Still good though
Rex -1/10: he will just kill you like Nina. Do not recommend.
