Ruy was one of the people forced to torture Alden (did that happen or did I make that up??) and my guy had a mental breakdown during it

i f o r g o t ab this and i legit do not know the context, but the thing is : yes

he has to torture alvar (i think you meant alvar) before he is sent back to the black swan, and he just. cant. he cant eget himself to hurt him. 

when gisela forces him to, he dissociates like hell. he sneaks out and holds alvars hands all night afterwards, still shaking, still seeing the blood and the knife in his hands
