Hey! Say, have we talked about Lackadaisy yet? I think I gave it a try once after seeing you post about it, but I didn't get hooked until last night when I tried again. Even though the intro itself was already VERY good, something about the pace felt off to me, and it's only been the circulating art of Mitzi that made me think I had to give it another go!

Do you have Thoughts? Why did it catch you? Have you read the webcomic? Wanna remind me once it comes out? :)

I haven’t read the webcomic yet, but it’s on my list. I’d really love to get my hands on the print version

It’s been a while since I rewatched the pilot, but hand-drawn animation always pulls me in and their crew did fantastic work. Then the setting and music hooked me—there’s just something about the speakeasy era in fiction that I find hard to resist, especially when creators have fun with it. And of course CATS ;) (Also Rocky is delightfully unhinged in the pilot)

I have a lot of forgiveness for pacing in pilots. Pilots for me are about potential, which Lackadaisy has in spades (pun intended), and I found myself excited to know more about these characters and their stories. So I was thrilled when they announced a proper season release.

I’m really looking forward to it and will post about it here! Have you seen the shorts yet?
