Bush Morning Glory - April 2023 When I first saw this bush (second image), I thought that some morning glory had entwined itself throughout the bush. But when I looked close, it was obvious that the flowers were from the bush itself. The official name is Convolvulus Cneorum or Silverbush / Shrubby Bindweed. Like the vine version, the long branches are very strong and bind together to cause problems in farmers’ fields. For ground cover and gardens, however, it is a beautiful plant when it is in bloom like this. As the first image shows, the bees like it also. MWM

No sign of a pause in the flowering of the Convolvulus (Convolvulus spp.) known as Bindweed, Ground Morning Glory or Silver Bush. Native or has spread to most of the world. I bet they didn't sell it as bindweed. With it's dense matt of stems I can imagine it was a problem to plough through. Related to morning glory this one isn't really a pest. It's been in the garden since before 1995 and only needs cutting back on occasion.
