I haven’t posted a before and after in a while, but here’s a cute shot from 1915 where twins Louise and Rosemary (Grandma’s aunts) are being pushed in a stroller in downtown Dam, Wisconsin. I’m not entirely sure who is pushing the stroller, this photo was from a box I assume was being kept by Gma’s paternal grandparents. That wicker stroller is definitely unique! I am very lucky to have had people in my life who truly accept, welcome, and are kind to all human beings regardless of differences and could talk about them. These two were just a couple of those people. I hope that I am living up and practicing the example that was lead for me. Let’s remember to please be kind to one another—especially nowadays. Restored this little gem of a photograph a bit last night, you can swipe right to see the original—it was quite the color correction task. It’s a sweet picture of my Great Grandpa Tony picking oranges at his Florida home with Grandma Pat (I think). I may try my hand at restoring the colors down the road since they’re a little faded and the color on the side of the house is strange. I think it could look rich and lovely. We will see!
