😠 A pocket-gopher killed one of my Silver Mound Plants (Artemisia schmidtiana). Here you can see that the plants on either side are green and alive. The one in the middle is dry and dead because the pocket-gopher dug under it and damaged the roots. You can see the loose dirt that the pocket-gopher kicked up while digging. The dirt is covering part of the garden hose.

it’s a soft smile tugging at the corner of her lips as she watches the kid play with the newest thing he’s found (and din has approved) on base. it’s certainly been nothing like she’s expected, having people from another galaxy so quickly settling into their lives — into her life. jemma leans back against the wall, allows some of the tension that’s always settled on her shoulders to ease, if just for a moment, when she looks over at din.
