So what's the good news and the even better news so far?

The good news is that, so far, Log Horizon hasn’t gotten axed because of Mamare’s scandal. From what it seems, it didn’t even affect the fandom at all considering how popular it remains in Japan.

The better news is that it seems Yen On finally acquired a digital license for the LH novels and will slowly but surely make the series more widely available to those who can’t buy the physical books.

(It’s possible that LH’s novels haven’t gotten an English digital publication until this year because of Mamare’s scandal. The physical books released right around the time the scandal came to light, and before places like BookWalker Global started selling light novels. So Yen On couldn’t acquire a digital license until his situation got cleared earlier this year. That’s my guess, at least.)

In-fic wise, who are the artists responsible for that?

Cloud. Cloud made the smut fic between Yang and Tifa. He also made one between Link and Zelda that involved the Hookshot, but nobody talks about it.

He did the Tifang ones to get parts for a flying motorcycle, he did the Zelda x Cloud one for commission money.

T_T How come it's pretty possible that not enough folks we've seen have taken grains of salt regarding 'specific detailed spoilers,' in terms of the WHY they'd end up happening? We got our Drinking games, but where's our Salt-passing games when merely taking grains of salt aren't enough? Also sometimes I wanna ask what gives with the Wizards' Confederation having varying degrees of competence-to-corruption, ratio-wise because some nations for it(Britain) are WORSE than others, know what I mean?

Some exceptions notwithstanding, for a single reason that I call “Tutto e subito”, everything and now. 

Anything less than what they demand to be granted to them the second they demand it and precisely how they demand it is nothing short than unforgivable.

Then you have those who happily claim that she’s stealing fanfictions ideas (this is why authors wants nothing to do with fanfics and their fan authors, because they know sooner or later someone will bash them). And those people are a particular kind of self-centered nasty assholes because 1. do you really think an author’s got the time to read fanfiction when they’ve got their own stuff to write, promote, interviews, personal life and shit? Especially one as famous and with so many things going on at the same time as JK. 2. those who thinks she couldn’t really have kept some infos on characters for 20 years have clearly never created characters/worlds themselves or they will know you end up thinking stuff about the great-great-greatgrandfather of your main chara and many more.  

And they hardly ever make sense anyway. Do you think those bashing her because “who cares about this thing you care, where’s our Marauders story” realize that if they ever get a Mauraders-at-Hogwarts story it will have to address the fact that it’s about two-to-four bullies + bonus attempted murder via best friend or do they expect their precious “cinnamon rolls” being cool and nothing bad or ““problematic”” ever happening? 

I’m so damn tired.

About the corruption thing I’d say it’s just the different Ministries being made of different humans and coming from different traditions. Both the UK and the USA one did and do nasty or downright horrible shit but different kinds of shit. We’ll see in November how the french one is like.
