Fedsy is a bit canon divergent with how he becomes Aurene's champion. He's very easily manipulated by Mordremoth due to something I'll just describe as "magic deficiency/dependency". An elder dragon manages this pretty well.
(His thing during HoT is infiltrating pact groups like- I was going to say sci-fi horror but "fedsy is amongus impostor" also works. Spreading fear and turning people against each other whilst he picks them off. Yes I DO think mordremoths Favourite Plants should be able to retain class skills for evil.)
BACK TO THE MAGIC THING. His connection to the dream is a bit wobbly, (which I believe is what mordy used to manipulate the vari?). So although it's a powerful connection, it's probably a bit easier to break - if something else of equal (ish) magical import happened to come his way. This is exactly what happens when he's working alongside Faolain and gets his hands on Aurene's egg. And NOW we are matching up with the actual story.
It's a very fast turnaround, and it's a LOT. Fedsy is not happy about this. He's not happy about anything. He's had absolutely no time to think before running for his life through the jungle and now this stupid egg has beamed him with a horrible vision and it can piss off because he's not even the commander and he HATES IT. HE DESPISES THIS EGG.
He feels as if he's just traded one dragons control for another, and everyone is telling him he should be thankful for it. Whilst yes, he'd prefer not to be mordrem- he's completely lacking any control in any of these decisions and he HATES THAT TOO.
Luckily, Fedsy doesn't manage to maintain the hatred toward Aurene once she hatches. I mean, just look at her. She's like a bug that is also a puppy.
Runa noodle bar what will he serve (no noodles apparently) Food hygiene rating unidentified, where are His Clothes, Zafira has been staring at the menu for 10 minutes and Mer is beginning to doubt that this is actually a noodle bar. :(

Ok so all you need to know about Dralsin is that if a ghost appeared in his room in the middle of the night he would have a brief conversation with it, throw something from his bedside table at it and go back to sleep. BUT if a LARGE FLYING BUG appeared in his room - absolutely not no thanks bye.
