💛- A memory that makes em feel angryLudwig: Back in WW2, near the beginning, Francis told him in a fit of anger that he was no better than “(his) arrogant, sh*thead, degenerate brother”. Lud thought highly of Gil at the time. And he could handle insults directed at him. But anything that defamed his role model’s character, that was much too unacceptable.(Francis’ comment resulted in him getting slapped across the face and a loud, angry “shut up” from Lud.)Francis: After finding out dear Jeanne had been kidnapped and burned at the stake, he marched to Arthur’s place and demanded why he’d do that, to which Arthur didn’t have a proper answer. Their meeting involved lots of screaming and crying. To this day, drunk Francis still gets riled up when he thinks about Arthur’s smug little grin back then.
