Konpicoas (human name vocalization) are notorious for being adverse to inter-species romantic relationships. The most obvious reason is that most find non-konpicoas to be unattractive and unappealing, especially "plain" humans.
Besides physical appearances, konpicoas have difficultly adjusting to monogamous relationship-styles of humans and others. Often the species is misjudged as very gregarious and flirtatious when in fact the opposite is true: albeit curious, most are shy and prefer steady relationships.
Typically one female has about four partners, each rotating their time with her. Therefore, feelings of pressure and constraint rise in both sexes when dating outside their species.
This doesn't mean interspecies relationships are impossible; indeed, outsiders find konpicoas undying support and nurturing natures to be highly attractive.
