These are the matriarchs of my savefile. Alexis’ family owned a fashion magazine, so this was her department and another opportunity for me to edit a magazine template hihi. Louise just loved the glamour.
Beverly and Kathryn were so brilliant and versatile that I can totally imagine them dressing up for a Starfleet gala and somehow ending up on a magazine cover.
Here's a few more pictures under the cut because they’re no longer alive in my save and I’ve been missing them lately 🥹
Now I have to tag people, but no pressure! It’s totally okay if you’ve already done it or don't want to do it: @glimmerplumb @raioslaser @dexxty @cottagecorasims
I'll leave you words
Under your door
Under the singing moon
Close to where your feet pass
Hidden in the holes of your couch
And when you're alone for a moment
Pick me up whenever you want.
After reaching four stars with her restaurant, Laurel realized juggling it with culinary school wasn’t the best idea. With her moms Beverly and Kathryn moving back to Chestnut Ridge, Laurel chose to sell the restaurant and move with them. She bought a small house with a horse stable, ready to pursue her dream of cooking and raising animals.

After selling the restaurant and saving up some money, we were able to rescue a little horse named Pudim. Laurel feels right at home on the ranch! Everything her mom had told her about growing up in the countryside turned out to be true! Now she can finally live her own story, just as she dreamed of as a child. Next step? Learning how to make Nectar, gardening, and renewing our home!
Laurel went out a few times to meet new people, but she just didn’t feel interested in anyone. For now, she feels complete on her own, with her horsie. Still, deep down, she knows she’d like a family someday.
On her second day, she adopted a cow named Milkshake. Laurel also discovered she enjoys making nectar. Although her mom, Kathryn, wasn't happy with Laurel selling the restaurant, they were always around to make sure she was okay. Later that day, one of Laurel’s older sisters, Violet, stopped by to visit and share some big news: Laurel is going to be an aunt soon! Laurel was actually more excited than Vi for it…
One morning she was trying to milk Milkshake and felt nauseous... And there was a lovely surprise!
As time went by, Magnolia noticed how much Laurel loved animals and plants. Every day, as soon as she dropped the children off at daycare, she was there: talking to her horse, tending the garden, present in every detail. Laurel, always busy, noticed Magnolia in a different way: strong, mysterious, someone who intrigued her. But Laurel was shy, and silence stretched between glances and unspoken words.

Timeskip! So... While Laurel raised her triplets alone, she needed a hand with the ranch. Then, she hired a quiet lady who has been living on the town's square all her life. She knew everything about ranch life, making her the perfect candidate for the job. More perfect than Laurel realized at first.
Magnolia wasn't romantic, but still, she was the one who proposed to Laurel when they went on a walk downtown to sell produce.
Magnolia didn't have anyone before besides her childhood horse, Dusty Rose. But Laurel's family opened their arms to her. So much changed that night... Mainly because Milkshake died during their wedding night.
So, I am a big Star Trek fan (this me). I ship Kathryn Janeway and Beverly Crusher. That's my crazy story. Then, I created Sims inspired by them and gave them a wonderful life together because, for me and my dear girl @denzit, fanfics weren't enough.
⟡ next part ⟡
As in one of the wonderful fanfics we've read, they had a grey cat named Maestro. Of course, he liked Beverly better.
The wedding. Yes, I started from the happy ending.
Katie got in with Tuvok, and Bev with Deanna. Picard officiated the wedding (we were trying to make a little angst moment for him, okay). Seven and Raffi also attended, and Wesley!
Slowly, their little house got more cozy, and they kept flirting automatically, which was pretty adorable. They've gone on a camping trip, which Katie hated and swore they'd never do again. That's so in character for her.
It didn't take long for them to decide to have kids. Their first would be carried by Kathyn, and you can tell she was absolutely thrilled with the experience. Luckily, Beverly was pretty supportive at all times.
When little Elsa was born, she had Beverly's hair and Katie's eyes.
Soon she became a toddler, and her moms decided they wanted another baby. This time, Beverly carried while working between her shifts at the hospital.
Here's Katie freaking out a little by the birth, and Elsa excited because she's a big sister to Violet now.
Elsa and Violet were already the best little friends. Their moms were always working, but tried their best to be close.

Then, after a while, the girls aged up. Elsa was already showing great interest in reading as a kid, and Violet just wanted to play all the time.
They had a trip to Sulani before my game decided to blow itself to space, and I lost all my Sims, except for Beverly and Katie. Elsa and Vi will look a bit different from now on.
At this point, I downloaded some mods. For one, the Sims now had personal preferences about having kids, and Kathryn didn't want any more. Beverly, on the other hand, did. They talked a lot about it, and Kathryn gave in, as long as Beverly carried the next one, too.
Then Laurel was born. The house was full and loud again. Violet didn't exactly want to be a big sister, but Laurel was really cute.
Some time later, Elsa and Vi aged up. Violet decided she had her own style, and oh, god, she already had attitude too. The only member of the house she didn't pick on was Maestro. Elsa, now a teen, was a straight-A student, and she was determined to get into university and get a Physics degree. She looked so much like Beverly, it scares me to this day.
Laurel side-eyeing her mom.
That's when Katie didn't think the house was cramped enough, and adopted a dog named Fifi. As you know, she's a dog person in the TV show, and I thought she deserved to have a friend like her Molly, again.
Katie looked so happy. Maestro, on the other hand... Actually, he just didn't care.
While Elsa started her own path, Violet and Laurel aged up, and wow. Violet is so, so pretty. She reminds me of Katie a lot. From here, I started playing with Elsa because something shocking happened. I'm not spoiling anything, good reading! (Click on next). Also, Vi has her own life now, and you can see her tag clicking here.
Marie was delivered by Beverly, Elsa’s mother. At the time, Elsa didn’t feel ready to be a mom, and Theo wasn’t exactly brimming with confidence either. They were young, overwhelmed, and exhausted. Still, they fell into a routine, sleeping in shifts to juggle university, homework, and caring for their newborn.

The chaos of their daily life left little room for joy or connection. At first, it felt like they were just surviving.
But then, little moments started to change things. Elsa watched Marie grow, saw how tenderly Theo cared for her, and noticed the way her own mothers lit up around their granddaughter.
Slowly, that distance melted. Elsa began to feel something deeper: a quiet, growing love. Not just as a caretaker, but as a mother.
