The SimDonian Market Hosted by Grand Duke Adam and Lord Johnathon Opens in Cypress for SimDependence Week

Today, the SimDonian Market opens in Cypress. At the market, shoppers can find many SimDonian wares including homegrown apples, stunning native roses and the finest silks and other fabrics. Hundreds of local artists, farmers and makers set up shop and welcome thousands of customers throughout SimDependence Week. An attraction that visitors of SimDonia love, as well.

Seen making their way through the market are the hosts, HRH Grand Duke Adam of Cypress along with Lord Johnathon and his wife, Grand Countess Arabella. Arabella's family, owners of Lima Produce, are the largest sponsors of the market.

Many credit the market for a large uptick in their business, not just during the market but year-round as customers from all over discover new shops. Whether you're looking for a special ingredient or a unique gift, you'll find it at the Simdependence Market!

SimDonia Parliament Building | Cypress, SimDonia

Crystal: I'm Crystal Sosa with SN19 and you're joining me here live at SimDonia's Parliament building as we gear up for an interesting election season.

Crystal: Only 2 out of 7 seats are uncontested this season. Lady Tara of Umbrage will hold her Lordship along with Lady Kadijah of Sage.

Crystal: The Cypress Lord election is between current Lord Jonathan who has served for quite some time. He is up against newcomer, Grace Harlow, who has made a name for herself on social media. People seem to love her laid-back yet passionate approach to politics. The race is close with Grace pulling slightly ahead.

Crystal: Over in Parkshore, Lady Naia who just began serving under Queen Diana after a historic win against former Lord Donovan is up against Gary Schilling. Gary doesn't have much political experience and appears to have just come out of left field with a moderate support group. While Lady Naia is still far ahead, Gary is surprisingly gaining up on her. It will be interesting to see who takes the seat.

Crystal: In Ophelia, relatively newcomer Lord Jackson is up against Count Khaleo Lerato. Khaleo's father served in Parliament under King Parker, but it didn't seem like his son was going to follow in his footsteps as he's been mainly focused on nonprofit work. However, in a twist, Khaleo has decided to live up to his title and challenge Lord Jackson. Both men are trying to live up to their family names, but it's a tossup on who will win.

Crystal: In the Hallow Slough election, Lady Lauren has dropped out of the race. In a statement released when elections began, Lauren said she is focusing on family likely her wife and young daughter. Two fresh faces are coming in Hallow Slough. Anne Sharp is a part of the Hallow Slough community council and is known for her efforts to clean the streets and tackling homelessness. Meanwhile, not much is know about her opponent, Jillian Fraley, who runs a Jacoban day camp and school for children. As of today, Anne is in the lead to win.

Crystal: Lastly in the political showdown of a lifetime, we have our current Prime Minister - Tina Parnell up against former Lord Donovan. Donovan served in Prime Minister Parnell's Parliament up until he lost the Parkshore election to Lady Naia in a historic first-time loss for a Sagerton. It looks like Donovan is looking to redeem himself by running for the highest office in the land. Both candidates have plenty of supporters, so it's anyone's call.

Queen Diana and Prince Consort Gerhard Host Annual Mayor’s Ball at Willington Palace

Her Majesty The Queen wowed her guest as this year’s Mayor’s Ball. She alongside husband, Prince Consort Gerhard, hosted the event in the Grand Ballroom of the Palace where it’s been hosted since its inception under former King Spencer. This year’s theme was progress.

The ball brings together Mayors from across SimDonia in the Royal Palace. The event is also frequented by SimDonia Parliament and members of the nobility, as well. The purpose of the event is to unite the many people who work everyday to make SimDonia a great place for all to live.

Her Majesty wore a bright read ball gown with intricate floral detail along with her favorite jewel, the SimDonian Ruby Tiara. The State to cohost this year’s ball was Parkshore, so The Queen’s gown was designed by a Parkshorian designer. At the ball, you could also listen to the Parkshore Choir and eat delicious Parkshore cuisine. Many noted how attendence to a Parkshore hosted ball grew significantly and speculate that is due to Lady Naia’s new leadership. 

They also noted Her Majesty enjoying the choir with Natasha Bedlam, the new Executive Director of the National Association of Pendites. A great show of unity by The Queen for inviting a representative of the organization after the incidents with the former Executive Director who turned out to be a fraud and descendents of the Goths looking for revenge.

The Queen confidently gave a speech, danced the night away, and spoke with government officials including her friends Lord Jonathan and Grand Countess Arabella. Since being Maid of Honor at each other’s weddings, the couple have gone on to have 3 children! We loved to see this little reunion among friends.

In attendence and seen talking with Lady Naia of Parkshore were the Grand Duke and Duchess of Parkshore accompanied by the Duke and Duchess of Parkshore. The two couples looked dazzling and in good spirits the entire night.

All in all, this year’s Mayor’s Ball was a success! We can’t wait for next year which is set to be hosted by Umbrage!

HRH Crown Princess Diana attends first Parliament Opening with HM King Spencer

This year’s Opening of Parliament was a special occasion not only because the election has welcomed new members, but the Crown Princess accompanied the King for the traditional event! 

The King and future Queen sat before Parliament and government officials to open Parliament. The ceremony includes a speech by King Spencer along with the Prime Minister. King Spencer and the Crown Princess will also swore in thr newest members of Parliament.

Diana looked lovely in a floor length SimDonia red gown and her signature tiara. It’s clear that their is a strategic effort to make Diana more seen and involved in government affairs. Soon after her wedding, she met world leaders on a 4-leg tour. Today, she is opening Parliament. In a few weeks, she is set to host an Ambassador’s dinner. The message is loud and clear - Diana is set to be SimDonia’s first Queen.

After the speeches, The King and Crown Princess swore in the newest members of Parliament. Lord Jackson Brooks of Ophelia takes Lord Richard’s spot. It’s believed that Lord Richard was ready to step away from government to settle down. Lord Jackson is the son of the first Ophelia Lord, Lord Bryant. It’s refreshing to see the Brooks family back into public service.

In a suprising and historic election, Lord Donovan lost his seat to now Lady Naia Ismat of Parkshore. This is the first time a Sagerton has not sat as the Parkshore Lord. Naia was previously the Foreign Affairs Advisor to HM King Spencer. She ran a tough campaign, but ultimately, people loved her message of solidarity with Pendites.

The crown Princess has certainly been busy. In an effort to show Diana as a future world leader, Diana and husband, Gerhard, hosted an Ambassador’s Dinner with the ambassador’s of allied countries. The dinner took place in the East Dining Hall at Willington Palace.

Diana looked stunning in a bold gold sequin dress with a lovely cape. She was joined by ambassadors from El Selvadorada, Mt. Komorebi, Sulani, and Simerica. The event looked as lovely as the Princess herself!

The Groom Arrives at the Winston Royal Jacoban Church!

The crowd outside the Winston Royal Jacoban Church is going crazy at the sight of the Honourable Jonkheer De Geloes and his groomsmen. The wedding of the century is really happening!

The gentlemen align outside of the church and wave for pictures before entering. We can see each groomsmen is wearting a red formal jacket with gold detail. Let’s get a close look at who’s in the party and what they are wearing.

In the rear, we see Duke Beckett of Parkshore walking alongside, Gerhard’s older brother, His Highness the Vorst Marcel De Geloes. We’re excited to see some Simovian’s at the wedding. We’re also excited to see Beckett which means his wife and daughter are likely arriving with the bride.

In the middle of the group is Lord Jonothan of Cypress walking with HRH Grand Duke of Umbrage. Both men looking dashing in their red suits and we cannot wait to see their lovely wives and children who are most likely in the wedding party, as well.

Lastly, we see, Gerhard’s younger brother, the Honourable Jonkheer Jacques De Geloes, serving as the Best Man. Gerhard is wearing a black formal suit with gold detail along with a bright red sash. The Honourable Jonkheer De Geloes looks calm yet happy to be there. We can’t wait to see what his beautiful bride is wearing!

The Best Man, Matron of Honor, and HM King Spencer and HRH Grand Duchess Elizabeth Arrive to the Reception

We know what this final arrival means! The very last guests have arrived meaning the bride and groom are not far behind! We cannot contain our excitement to see the newlyweds! But first, let’s see the extra special guests who just arrived!

Up first is Best Man, the Honourable Jonkheer Jacques De Geloes, who arrives solo. Maybe he can find himself a SimDonia Royal like his brother!

Up next is the Matron of Honor, Grand Countess Arabella of Cypress along with her husband, Lord Jonothan of Cypress. They are joined by Arabella’s mother, Rosemary Lima who wears a chic light blue long sleeved gown. 

Last but certainly not least is HM King Spencer, Grand Duke of Sage and his wife HRH Grand Duchess Elizabeth of Sage. The Grand Duchess wears a long-sleeved gold colored gown with red accessories. After giving his sister away, we’re sure the King is ready to celebrate the beautiful union!

HRH Grand Duchess of Sage along with Lady Tara of Umbrage visited this year’s Fall Harvest Festival taking place at the Lima Beans Farmer’s Market. They were greeted by the whole Lima Beans family including Jerome and Rosemary Lima, their daughter, Arabella Yancey, son-in-law, Lord Jonathon of Cypress and their adorable grandson, Phillip Yancey.

The Fall Harvest Festival shows the SimDonian economy is beginning to rebound after the negative effects from the war. Supply and demand is up while unemployment is going down! We hope this trend continues!

Jonathon baby talks: You are the apple of my eye, little man. Yes, you are!

Arabella: I’m so happy you agreed to have me, you, and Phillip move back on the farm. You seemed so stressed at work with the war and just being a Lord in general.

Jonathon: I’m glad we did, too. It’s nice having your parents around to help with Phillip. 

Arabella: Well, they certainly love having us all close by. Ready to go take that family photo? 

Jonathon: You bet.

Jerome: Why you look lovely, Miss Rosemary.

Rosemary: Oh, you stop it, Jerome. Don’t even think about starting. I hear the lovebirds heading down now.
