A very energetic three year old with his father, Miles, and uncle, Mason. Circa 1993.

Now that the close-knit bond between Mason and Moses is gone, they often find themselves thinking about the past. Both men wonder what life would be like if Miles never passed away in ‘94. As his son, Moses sees him being the better role model and person he’s proud to call “Pops”. As the younger twin, Mason knows Miles would’ve pushed him towards being a better man. He’s slowly but surely regretting the path he chose.

Adrian and Miles look a bit alike, and their personalities are even more similar. They're not brothers though, just cousins. (Honestly most of Miles' family looks like they came out of the same template anyway.)

Adrian, however, comes across as more mature and a little more aware of how he presents himself. But really, he's just had a few more years to figure things out. People tend to guess he's older than he actually is, mostly because of the lines under his eyes. He's a bit self-conscious about it. His wife, on the other hand, insists they're part of his charm, along with the fine lines and every other imperfection he tries to ignore. "Hmm... She's always right."

Miles tried styling his hair up and switching to a different pair of glasses. He even replaced the ID badge he's been using for the past seven years.

Still no chance of him showing up without a shirt and tie. And of course, he refused to pose for the photo.

Some things never change.

I am pretty tired today (work was a lot + I spent like 3 hours making poses when I got home 😵‍💫), but talking about OCs weirdly does recharge me, so here we are. Thank you for the ask posies!

Sharing 5 facts about my newer OC, 柯堇 / Miles, 29 y/o, professional office worker, living a very by-the-book life:

FACT ①

He isn't nearsighted at all- the glasses are purely for vibes. He thinks they make him look more "professional" and trustworthy to bosses and clients (whether that actually works is… debatable). There's also a much funnier reason: right after he graduated university, his mom ran into a "face-reading master" on the street (read: 100% a scammer) who told her Miles' eye shape would attract bad romantic luck and that he needed an external object, glasses, to "suppress" it. She believed him. Miles has worn glasses ever since.

FACT ②

He's always been introverted. Classmates loved teasing him, and people (especially girls) used to poke fun at him because he blushed easily. Now that he's older and has work experience, he's mastered the art of the neutral face and mild thick skin. But the introversion is very much intentional. He doesn't recharge through socializing; being alone feels better, and his inner world is rich enough that he never really feels lonely. Still, there are gatherings he can't avoid. he'll sit quietly, say nothing, and inevitably someone will sit next to him and say, "wow, you're really quiet." His internal reaction looks exactly like this ↓

FACT ③

He's turning 30 soon, and the urge to change his life has been creeping up on him for years. It's not sudden, more like a recurring thought he keeps pushing away. His life runs on a loop: home → subway → office → subway → home. There's nothing wrong with it, but after long enough, he can't help wondering what other ways of living feel like. He's thought about dyeing his hair blonde, getting tattoos, piercings… after months of hesitation, he compromised by buying a bunch of fake stick-on piercings for his face. Baby steps. Maybe one day.

FACT ④

He's a workaholic, but not because he loves his job. He's just good at it. Over the years, he's secured a decent position and stable footing. He works this hard for financial security and so he can send money home every month. Even though he lives in a nice apartment now, there's always a quiet fear underneath: that everything he has could disappear if he slips up.

FACT ⑤

He loves shirts. He collects them - different fabrics, patterns, ties to match, but never in bright colors. Everything stays muted, formal, restrained. Wearing a shirt makes him feel proper, composed, and safe. Like he's exactly where he's supposed to be.
