SIMDOL SCHOOL 「CHALLENGE #1」

Hello Simdol School Trainees!

Welcome to your first challenge. You have all been sorted into groups of 3 or 4 and have been assigned a song. Your task is to create an outfit that matches the song and submit a picture of you wearing the outfit, along with a description of why you made the outfit decisions you did. Simdol School Challenge 1 - AeRi

'Shake It' is such a fun song! In the music video, although the setting is a school environment, I felt like the vibe of the song was summery and grown up. It's also very colorful and everything pops out at the viewer, which is just my kind of music video! I tried to show that in my outfit choice. I'm confident in my decisions for my outfit, with a red top to pop against blue shorts. I kept my hair dyed pastel blue because it seemed so perfect for the bubbly, summertime feel of 'Shake It.' I felt really grown up and much older than I am in all my pictures, which is the look I was going for. I'm so excited to reveal the outfit!

Simdol School Challenge 1 - Namjoo

I've always liked creepy horror movies, ever since I was little, so 'Peek-A-Boo' was a very fun concept to play with. The macabre, strange, almost horror aspect of 'Peek-A-Boo' was what made the song so interesting. For my outfit, I followed the red theme that was present throughout a lot of the music video, which was a lot of fun to play with. I debated back and forth on whether to wear glove or not, but I decided to keep gloves off simply because I wanted my outfit to look simple. The over-dressed look that the gloves gave wasn't what I wanted. Overall, 'Peek-A-Boo' had so many fun options to explore within its music video, and I was very glad to get this song for my first challenge in Simdol School.

Simdol School Challenge 1 - BoYoung

I've liked 'Holiday' since it first came out! The fashion in the music video is really bright and full of life, and I wanted to emulate that in my outfit. I based my outfit a lot on Sooyoung's outfit, because it caught my eye so much. I wanted to catch the eye of fans, too, so I tried my best to draw inspiration from Sooyoung. Plus, her name sounds almost like mine, so it's perfect, isn't it? Sooyoung wears her hair short in 'Holiday' and with my long hair, I couldn't envision the outfit looking right. So I made the decision to cut my hair short, and I couldn't be happier with the results of my efforts!
