Anne Carson’s “I Don’t Do Innocents”—a radio play set during a wedding party from which the bride is notably absent, and in which much of the action is overheard by the bride’s younger sister as she eavesdrops from the roof through a drainpipe. The episode features a cast of nine actors, with Carson herself reading the stage directions; it begins with a conversation between the British director and actor Simon McBurney and Carson.⁠ ⁠ Produced by the international touring theater company @complicitetheatre for The Paris Review, this is the second episode of our new audio series, Inside the Issue. ⁠
