Simon Zion’s satin smooth crooning and dynamic range leaves me shivering and melting in bliss. His voice also cuts deep, like a knife through butter, on lush pop heart render Ego Avenue, the Swedish singer songwriter and producer’s new single and the first taster from a full EP he wrote in Los Angeles earlier this year. Simon Zion was a competitor on the Swedish version of American Idol. I have no idea if he’s a finalist, or how far he got, since I can’t read Swedish, but with a voice like that, and a pop sensibility as he exhibits on sweeping Ego Avenue, I’d surmise he went very far.
